What's up, Gustavo! Based on my 25+ years in this industry and testing countless headsets. To this day, the closer the mic is to your mouth, the better. The Evolve2 55 has a longer mic boom that can be positioned two finger widths from the tip of your mouth vs the Evolve2 65 Flex that sits further from your mouth. This is why I am not a fan of boomless mic headsets and earbuds for business calls/video meetings. Appreciate you watching, sharing your feedback and supporting our channel!

I recently had to shop vac our flooded basement, and I was on a call with my wife on the Shokz while I was vacuuming and she could hear me clearly, the shop vac was audible but quiet, despite being on and near my feet!!! Even you test it is just so clear… of course you need separate ear protection (I had flight line earplugs in), but still!!

Thanks for sharing! The Shokz Opencomm 2 UC has become my go-to when driving and I have passengers. This allows me to hear the phone/meeting conversation, while still leaving my ears open to hear my surroundings. The answer is, there is no canceling of the noise in your ears while using the Opencomm2. Shokz recommends you wear ear plugs if you need to block/suppress background noise. Some clients use earbuds with ANC. I hope this helps.

EPOS Impact is the best mic noise cancelling and it has ANC but it is not cheap. If you are just a regular home office worker you can get the Yealink BH70 or the Poly 4320 way cheaper with very capable mic and no ANC. You are not going to get a lot from ANC with on-ear cups anyway.

The jabra 55 I think did the best, but the shoks did really good too. I have the older Jabra evolve2 65, which has a similar shape and style to the new 55. I wonder if it performs as well as the 55 performed. I would’ve loved to see how well the evolve2 85 performed, that’s probably my favorite comfort wise besides the shokz, of course.

Hi, Danny. If money were no object and you could consider anything up to about $500, what what be your 'hands down' choice ?
Also, why no reviews of standard over-ear headphones, such as Bose 700 or Sony XM5, which can work with calls ? Not realistic choices over long hours ? I'm new to all this.

Thanks for watching! Yes, I tested those headphones when they were first released however I tend to focus on professional grade audio and video solutions certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, WebEx and other leading platforms and UC applications used by mid to large enterprise customers. To answer your question though, it depends on your individual use case. What may be good for my work environments, working style and preferences may not align with yours. What’s your use case? What are you connecting headset to? What voice, video and UC platforms do you use? What environments do you work in? Home office, open office, coffee shop, other? How noisy are your environments? What are your wearing style preferences? The more detailed information you can provide, the better I can help.

Thank you. Use case: a doctor who does telehealth video calls via a zoom-like platform using an android smartphone. The environment is noisy (home with barking dogs, human voices, leaf blowers nearby). The doctor will have to wear these hours at a time.
Seeking comfortable (feels like BUTTER), sleek looking, noise cancelling beast with a mic that adds depth and resonance to my voice. .
On-ear or open-ear preferred so they feel imperceptible.
Price is secondary as long as they will last years (wired?)
Above all though, comfort and a mic with some resonance.
      Does this help?

@@Me_ThatsWho, thanks for sharing. Yes, it does, but it also makes it challenging to identify a single headset that checks all those boxes. The best noise-canceling mic I've tested is the EPOS Impact 1000 Series
ua-cam.com/video/YaPuE5yDXyU/v-deo.html However when it comes to comfort, these are currently the most comfortable headsets I've tested: Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex, Jabra Evolve2 55 (available in mono or dual ear), Poly Voyager Focus 2, NEW Yealink BH70 and Shokz Opencomm2 UC. All these headsets also have solid-performing NC mics. No headset I've tested blocks out barking dogs or crying babies when used with mobile devices. If used via a computer, Zoom with Personalized audio isolation does a great job of almost blocking all other sounds besides your voice when used with a good headset.
