Its almost criminal that this song didn't make it to Alan Wake's sountrack, I feel it could fit perfectly.

Been a fan of POTF since I listened Late Goodbye for the first time on Max Payne 2, and it only seems to get better each year, and when they made Old Gods of Asgard, my head almost literally exploded

This band with its every song crosses the upper limit of awesomeness. Out of the world !!! Probably one of the rarest bands whose songs have such a commendable like to dislike ratio.
Surely Poets could be more famous, but if they did, their music would probably change for worse to please the masses. I'm content they're faithful to their own, great style.
not unless their style is what addicts the masses first! IMO, they should forget about the profit guarantee, it just makes a mess of everything! the purpose of buying music is to enjoy it.

@@sarajane-j79 I like kpop and to see these kids just stream to get views and not even care if the song is good just ugh 😩 I prefer quality over quantity any day. I got into POTF back in 2013. My late son had played Carnival of Rust and I and his sisters loved it. 5/11/13 my son would pass away from complications from being a T1D. While on YT Carnival of Rust was in my suggested videos so I watched that one then I watched War and Sleep let’s just say I got hooked. I will always say quantity over quantity any day. That is why my youngest daughter and my favorite kpop group is very underrated but we love them. P.S. she thinks Ollie is cute 🥰
I never knew about Poets of the Fall till 5 years ago when I heard their song Lift on a UA-cam Video. Today I know almost everyone of there songs. Although their not recognize by many, there songs have moral. Moral is what songs of today's generation is seriously lacking.
I heard lift back in 2009 on VH1.. was introduced to this band then.. have been a fan since.. :)

I love this "sense of cold" in the video, it fits perfectly. When you miss someone so much that wherever you are you dream of that person being there with you: when you're walking, when you're at home.. dreams and reality mix and it can almost feel real.. but then you "wake up" and realize you're alone.
The storyline was a nice surprise, while the fact that the rest of the band is missing feels really weird to me.
Anyway: love it, this vid/song means so much to me for the feelings in it

I just found out about this band 2 weeks ago after playing a game called Control. My Dark Disquiet was playing in a room with massive speakers when you hit a red button. I’m hooked.

Why does it always happen so? Every time I hear a new song of theirs, it sounds better than all their previous ones!! And yet, when I hear the earlier ones again, they sound as breathtakingly awesome as earlier! The best bloody band on the planet!!
Really wish they would expand their touring travels past Russia, Finland; ect. I'm sure there's enough fans in the United States to warrant a visit.

I just finished the Remastered version of Alan Wake. This song would have been Alan’s perfect anthem for Alice. I hope this song eventually makes it into one of the games.

Poets are an indie band, so they fund all their albums and videos themselves. They hire professional directors to work with them on their music videos, and since they don't have a record label footing the bill, that means they pay for that cost out of pocket. They also don't have the kind of PR and marketing a record label can provide, which is one reason they're not more widely known.
That is exactly why they did it. They want to keep complete control over their music. To them, their music and art is more important than being famous. It's one reason I respect them so much, their beautiful music is another. They will always hold a place in my mind and my heart. For their music resonates within me just as much as their morals toward their art does.

Discovered them by chance. Searching a song by Tragically Hip called “ Poets” and these guys came up. Been a fan ever since.
Just so you know, it's not just young people who enjoy this stuff. I love this band and I'm 60 years old ! Good music has no age restriction and growing old means nothing to great tunes and I LOVE this tune!
The guitars of this song are so cool with a rough electric sound in them!

I just went to see them in concery and it was freaking amazing. I realized today that I first heard their music back in 2012/2013 so I have been listening for like 7 years... i feel like they've always got my back , and I really love them for it
