I think Kenneth Johnson's works were a major part of what defined my tastes in entertainment. Also, to this day, I still have a crush on Lindsay Wagner.
Great interview! Being an 80s kid, I remember him most for "V" - sitting on the living room floor watching for the next horrific lizard skin tear or Mike Donovan laser shootout. Then watching it older I realized the bigger themes with it. I could watch an hourlong vid of him just talking about V. His audio commentary on the disc is great.
The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman are 2 of my favorites tv shows of all time! And I found Lindsay Wagner so beautiful. I liked The Incredible Hulk a lot I never missed it as a kid. Outstandingly awesome interview of an important person in tv history Heath. Very cool video!👉😃👈
Great Interview. Thank you for sharing. Mr Kenneth Johnson is truly a talented and knowledgeable person. I loved his work on the Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, and Incredible Hulk. I have done various monologues on the Six Million Dollar and sent them to Mr Kenneth Johnson who was very grateful and appreciative.
Kenny is a great guy. I've had email conversations with him and sent me a signed photo of him on the set of the Six Million Dollar Man. I agree up with both Bionic shows and the Incredible Hulk series he developed.
Legend. Although SMDL was my fav TV show as a kid KJ's ability to take a comic character like the Hulk and make it into a tv series that was palatable to kids and adults alike in part because we as the audience had so much sympathy for David Banner - was simply masterful
A-mazing interview with Kenneth Johnson. His energy was impressive, and he dropped so many bits of information! I wished he would have talked a little bit more about "V", but there was so much ground to cover. His new book, "Holmes Coming", sounds right in my wheelhouse. Sold!
Your question about Mr Johnson's idea for ending the series, combined with his description of the Greek Tragedy origins of the show, made me realize that David Banner is Sisyphus. Despite growing up with Bullfinch, this never occurred to me while watching Bill Bixby try to control the raging spirit that dwelled within him.
I’m just starting to watch this Heath. Looking very much forward to it. Kenny did such a remarkable job on the various audio commentaries he provided in the Hulk and Bionic Woman sets. So informative and entertaining. I got a sense, I believe, of how much of a great down-to-earth man he is. So, this should be a REAL treat. Thank you and thank you too Mr. Johnson for taking the time. 😁

He's a personal hero for 'V' alone!
Kenny's enthusiasm is contagious.

I enjoyed the bionic woman and incredible hulk tv shows🤯
For me Wagner was the second most beautiful tv female after Wonder Woman Linda Carter of course!👉😃👈

So cool, I have so many of his TV series on DVD and Blu ray. V is one of my childhood favorites. Great Interview Heath
Interviews like this one is the reason UA-cam exists. V was like my moon landing moment. The whole world just seemed different after the show aired.
