- In case tof a plane chrashes just detach the passenger cabin.
Or just slap it full with chutes and save the whole plane like I did in Kerbal Space Program 2

Another great idea!
Please return to us, the fall of KSP 2 brings dark times and one man’s silliness can break the suffering
What’s the game called
Hats the music at the start
You need to deploy the wheels on the passenger section before jettison. That will soften the blow.
Good suggestion!
However, in a real plane that also means deploying the nose gear as well, which will stop aerodynamic flow and cause a nosedive.
@@usvmchc2843but as proven when deploying the gear for landing, the cockpit and the fuselage gear are not linked after disconnection so you could retract the front gear and keep the back gear down
@@usvmchc2843could there be a way to make the main gear controls and the nose gear controls seperated? ex: you only activate one and the other doesn't open up
@@hummingatune KSP has action groups, you can assign gear there. In real life, this can be done using two pneumatic systems
Damn you should have included that one guy in first class that cut off from the rest of the plane💀
Crazy he’s been doing this nonstop for 7 years. Appreciate the dedication
This guy is amazing
I remember being 12 years old when I first came across your content, I'm 18 now and it's because of you mainly why KSP is my favourite game, thank you
You have defied our most sacred law! No splashing in the grass!

This actually kinda gets to why this’ll never be a real thing - the amount of engineering needed to make a parachute system that can get the whole cabin safely to the ground is a lot more than the engineering needed to prevent the wings from falling off, which is basically the only situation where this is a better solution than just ditching conventionally
Theoretically it's better in the event of a total loss of hydraulics, since you can't ditch a plane you can't control.
But it's still incredibly risky.
@@ReddwarfIV but even still, UA232 lost all hydraulics and managed a controlled crash landing and 184 of the 296 passengers survived.
@@alt8791 Turkish Airlines 981 wasn't so lucky.
And what about the pilots? No save system for the pilots?
@@arthurlunar7835 why can’t they just go into the cabin
The fact that it saves the passengers which is good, but leaves the pilot and the copilot up there in the air. Like imagine all of the engines are on fire and they stopped working. The passengers are safe, but not the pilots. I would think it would just be better to have all of the flaps and the wings including the engines, detachable and then just deploy parachutes so that it can just slow down.
The best solution would be to leave the plane be and let it just land. Planes are designed with ability to glide, pilots are trained to make an emergency landing should anything happen, and larger aircrafts even have extinguishers for their engines in case they catch fire.
Purchutes could be an idea but if the mass is too huge then R.i.p
what if the cabin was released but the parachutes are on the plane
\*surprised Pikachu face\*
That may or may not have happened during my gaming session. ;)
@@SWDennis 🤣
I really like how the cabin stays relatively stable during the descent so that the passengers don’t get *that* many broken bones
I'm gedtting KSP soon and I can't wait to try stuff like this!
KSP1 is recommended.
KSP2 needs more time to cook.
@@Aeretoi would recommend ksp 2 right now, it has a great recipe hand down from grandma
@@screech2730
I'd recommend ksp 1. It's more stable, and the mods have had more time to stabilize and be vetted. KSP1 is better if you want a more stable experience, and want to customize the experience with mods.
KSP 2 is in a constant state of patching, updates, and other forms of flux, breaking what few mods it has. If you are willing to gamble that KSP2 will improve upon KSP1 in every way, and are willing to wait for KSP2 to reach that point, then go ahead and go for KSP2, but be aware that it's not a sure bet. A good bet, maybe, but not a sure one.
@@screech2730 and 6 months later... KSP 1 is the way to go.
@@DavidEdwards9801 i would like to say i do not remember saying that
An this, ladys and gentlemens, this is one of the best things to watch about KSP 🙂
An Idea, failure, learning by doing, progress and finally the success! Congratulations to your plan landing :-)
I remember doing this in ksp one a few years ago
We need the Random KSP Compilation back.
Edit : Hello There, Another Happy Landing General Kenobi
great video
SWDENNIS PLZ DONT LEAVE WE MISS U
Past a certain point you'd be better off adding parachutes to the entire plane, rather than just for the passengers.
You didn't watch the whole video? :D
2:45
That shaked the plane a lot, either of that, the passengers banged their heads to the seats
the front most parasuites need to be one the side third of the passanger cabin on both sides, you need more in front and maybe just one in the back i would try to put them in a : : - configuration
next video: ejectable door plug
the pilot
There is passenger aircraft with a wing and engine arrangement like that, eg the An-148, where half the passengers get to look out of the window at the engine, and nothing else.
(It's usually aircraft designed for relatively short take-offs, possibly on dirt/grass/snow strips, that have a high-wing configuration)
Landing legs on the side?
The music is lowkey nostalgic
cant wait for KSP2 multiplayer
This need to be a plane concept for saving toerists from crash
There’s nothing we can do -pilots
I remeber these back in 2017
Pilots: there nothing we can do🫡🫡🫡
Least unhinged kerbal space program 2 aircraft:
And the pilots are like "there's nothing we can do"
If you put more wheels on the bottom, maybe with some stabilising fins, could you fly low over the runway and detach the cabin into a landing and fly away with the plane?
in the video, there is hot air balloon design where theres a roket below the chute
That one passenger in the front:
The concept is just detaching the wings, except the pilots die
What is the music I like it
What would be good(to make the pilot & remaining part of the plane), would be to add some large/extra large landing gears on the wings itself, so that you wont destroy the engines
Maybe in game, but in real life the best course of action would be to:
1) Jettison the engines and ditch all of the fuel, to minimise risk of fire after touchdown
2) Save the entire plane with one chute (and that is a current solution for small planes).
Medal of Honor Airborner song is very good
Give the detachable cabin and the aircraft seperate gear, the detachable cabin’s gear should be deployed on situations like that, and the gear of the carrier aircraft seperate gear to ferry it around without cabins when it has to travel empty.
Why are we not funding this?!
Because money!
Because it would crank up the weight and complexity, as now you need to rethink pressurization, carry shutes, design a parachute system, make it pass regulations
This would make the plane heavier, reduce fuel economy, less environmentally friendly, more complex and it would bump up the costs of tickets.
Its not worth it as planes already are the safest means of transport
@@Zeusbeerindeed
Like i get they wanna improve that but yeah
Given the high safety of commercial flights, it's arguable that the increased complexity would instead result in *more* incidents.
It's very rare for there to be a failure of the sort that would require this type of system, and it also wouldn't be usable during takeoff or landing, which is when most incidents happen.
I don't think funds are coming to this game.
You could just add the parachutes to the plane and make it not separate
Rip pilots
Pilots: help
Pilot: there nothing we can do
That one guy in window seat: You are not alone.
The one at the start
I still wondering why ksp 2 looks so similar to simplerockets 2/Juno
2:50 well, not for the passengers
Honestly, I'm surprised you didn't use drogue-chutes as well as normal parachutes
shabingus
Я до сих пор не понимаю почему таких посадочных систем нет на современных самолетах
So you managed to save that one guy, huh?
I prefer ksp more then ksp 2 tbh
