Oh that one was a bitch, you just gotta really try and press the clip its not much space for ur fingers, so i used i small flat head to press against it as i tried to pull out the wire
So I've just fitted these. They power up for a few seconds when you open the door and switch off. I've yet to try them at night but during the day they dont come on when the headlights are on. Is this normal?
Good video. I have a right hand drive Fiesta ST-Line which I got last week. I’m having trouble getting the wire out for the drivers side, the one you say is clipped in. How did you manage to do it? Is there any way I can send a photo so that you can see if it’s the correct cable I will be pulling no out.
Website reviews say the lights stay on for 10 or 20 minutes after locking. If so, I don't want to buy in case it looks like the car is unlocked and attracts unwelcome attention.
Update: I bought the footwell LEDs in red. The hardest bit is extracting the driver's side connector, which is well hidden and firmly fixed under the dash. The lights stay on for about 10 minutes after locking, but they're not bright enough to easily see from outside. This is a good and cheap upgrade.
@@fermorandy It's a real pain as it's in so tight, but it will come out. Make sure you are pulling on the connector and not one of the adjacent plastic parts. I guess that Ford didn't want you to do it yourself.

After trying for ages to unclup the drivers footwell plug I gave up and just pulled it and hey presto...... in case anyone else struggles
