- Hey Guys! We are Chris & Sam, also known as The Travel Duo. We have recently given up our 9-5 life in Plymouth, UK and headed off to explore Europe in our campervan. Join us in our last part of France, The French Alps. We definitely saved the best til last & we have completely fallen in love with this country.
From glacial lakes & insane overnight camping spots in the mountains we have had a blast! We also attempt our first hike up a mountain 1913 metres above sea level.

That’s awesome 🤩 yeah definitely is not easy for first time hiking over there, I’m going to Chamonix and than not sure yet where too with my own car , I hope I will have great adventure n a lot of fun😊

Hi, great locations in the video. Am planning a road trip round France with my dog, and was wondering how hard it was for you guys to take Fletcher? And have you taken him across any other countries in Europe while you were in France? Thank you 😊
Hey Amy 😄 thank you for tuning in, we find it so easy to travel with Fletcher 🐾 all you need is an Animal Health Certificate which you can get from your vet, its not cheap, we paid £120 and it lasts for 4 months, he also needed a rabies injection to go to Europe too. Coming back into the UK they need a tapeworm tablet. We get asked lots of questions on travelling with a dog so we will definitely create a video in the next few weeks on the process 😄 if there is any specific questions you have, let us know as always happy to help. We took him to 10 countries this year in our campervan 🎅 he's one well travelled dog now 😄
How do you find those lovely spots? Do you use an app such as ‘park for night’ or do you just drive until you find something you like?
Hey! 🙂 we use Park4night alot, we tend to find somewhere on Google maps we like the look of or just drive & pull over when we see something we like & then reference to Park4night to see what's local in the area for where we can stay 🙂

…one next to the lake
It's the gondola car park at the top of Chamonix, the parking area is called Parking Du Brevent, you will find it on google maps. The top level, level 3 is suitable for all van types & its free mid week and payment on weekends, hope this helps guys

@@thetravelduo_ Great video. Would love to visit there. Search Google map as suggested and result shows no lakes, just midde of town, with no lakes. Only 1 to the north in Switzerland?
This particular lake in the video is in France and its called Lake Passy 😃
