I saw her & her family perform this song at
The Milan Bluegrass Festival at a Campground.
It was Late at night, Sitting in a sea of hundreds of Bluegrass Fans. It was CHILLING Experience, as we were ALL Frozen in Silence, hanging onto her every word! Her beautiful voice echoed in the trees ... and through the darkness of the night.
It was So Intense...
Ironically, there is one of the Largest Women’s Prisons located just only a few miles away.
GOD this song is so good!!!!!!!!! Love her voice. What an amazing talented family
Saw the family in Dayton, Ohio a decade ago, got to talk to them at their tent afterwards so crowded we took the shuttle bus from a distant field for parking. Great family fun!
That voice... simply mesmerizing!
what a great song! So glad I found it....
I learned about this group on an NPR segment many years ago. I was intrigued - and bought their "Black and White" CD - and am glad I did. This live performance of my favorite song from that CD is amazing - the band was so dedicated to excellence. Cia's voice is so good - and this live performance was every bit as great as the studio version.
I saw them way back when the kids were just kids at Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival as special guests of WDVX. I saw them on their last go around on the Opry stage. I would go wherever/whenever to get to see them again! I have no doubt that Fletcher Bright would welcome them back to Three Sisters Festival stage so they might reprise there 2010 appearance.
As good as it gets.
This is really good... it sounds almost exactly like Wayfaring Stranger, though...
WHERE ARE CHERRYHOLMES???????????????????????????????/
Mic badly placed, but she nailed it. Not easy to sing.
record something.
