Awesome! I've got a few updates now that I'm approaching 50hrs (I know, that's not much). And... I tried ordering a tilt bucket, but they're hard to find. Where'd you get it from?
Best of luck with your new machine. I just reserved one from a rental place. Need it for a week. Never used an excavator but I’m hoping to be good enough to dig up some rocks on my property. Thanks for sharing your video
That’s awesome, you’ll have some fun. That’s how I started. I finally bought one because I was paying $250-$300 a day and now I can use it when I need it. The bigger the boys, the bigger the toys.
I’m looking at the KXO 33-4 and the KXO 40-4. My question In yours or anyone else that replies; Do you think that the KXO 40 is worth the 30K more? The only difference from the factory is the 40 has a 6 way blade. I have timber land and not using it for commercial use. So I’m footing the bill. Most of the trees are 3’ in diameter or less. But a few are larger than 4’. Mostly I’ll be using it for clearing brush and digging up roots left from the last time trees were harvested. Also for digging trenches in rocky soil. The main line I rented a trencher and dug about a 300’ foot trench for the line. Thanks for any info anyone might have.
I’ve never compared the two, I just have the kx-033 and I use it for digging ditches, leveling (with my ditching bucket), moving trees I’ve cut down (probably 2’ in diameter), popping stumps (3’+ in diameter) and moving large limestone rocks for retaining walls (600-1200lbs). I’m not sure if that helps, but that’s been my use so far
Nice review! I ordered mine a month ago they said it’ll be done end of May. Looking forward to it. Definitely would like to hear updates on your machine.
It’s a great machine. I was lucky that the exact one I spec’d on kubotausa was on the lot about 25 north of me. I went to see it that day and bought it two days later
I am debating on the 033 vs the 040. I think the 033 will fit my application better than the 040 considering my towing setup. It will pair well with my SVL65-2.
I’m also on the fence between 2 units. Also leaning more towards the kx033 specs are very similar to breakout force. And I love the diverted valve on front
Hey thanks for the review. I have had one on order since December but I’m still waiting on it. My question is what size buckets did you buy and what size do you seem to use most often?
I only have a 16" bucket with teeth. That's been pretty limiting when grading. Buckets have only just started becoming available for this machine (with the quick detach). I've got my eye on the Rhinox group 48" tilting grading ditching bucket.
I ended up getting my kx033 about 2 months ago. Love the machine with one exception. The damn travel alarm drives me crazy! Do you know how to shut it off, access/where it’s at? I appreciate your videos and helping with my decision
I’m glad I could help in your decision. As for travel alarm, I’m not sure mine has one, cause I don’t think I’ve ever Hearn an alarm. What am I missing?
@@beardedgarage I wish mine didn’t. I’m trying to figure out how to turn it off. It may be a state requirement, I don’t know. I’m in Pennsylvania so we’re usually not super restricted here comparatively speaking. The dealer said they aren’t allowed to shut it off.
It must be your state. My kx033 does not have a movement alarm. On most Kubotas like their skid steer which has a backup alarm, it's pretty easy to find it and unplug it.
I have a John Deere 110tlb and am looking to trade it in the upcoming months. I’ve been drawn to the 033-4 and I’ve seen they sell it with an extendable dipper now too which is huge. My 2 biggest concerns are loosing that front big bucket from my tlb (it’s not feasible to buy a skid steer and try to hire someone to transport it to jobs) and the learning curve of going from a tractor to a mini . Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Are you still happy with your machine? Any limitations? I’m a plumber so we primarily trench for water and sewer but I use that big bucket for moving big rocks, spreading stone, sometimes back filling, and plowing my driveway 🤣
I'm very happy with my machine. It came with a 16" bucket, but honestly a ditching bucket is a must just to move stuff around. I've tried to get one, but I haven't found any place other than kubota ($$$$) that makes the quick detach bucket yet since the model is new, that's probably the only limitation.
@@beardedgarage well, I’m waiting to hear back from the dealer. Apparently you can’t get an extendable dipper with the thumb so I’m gonna go with the thumb. He’ll come out to the house after he sends me the quote if it sounds reasonable. Thanks for your help bro!
I looked at John Deere, bobcat and Terex. Kubota is reliable, had 0% interest loan and an amazing warranty. I couldn’t justify buying used and this model was exactly what I needed
@@gmaster716 Honestly you need to go to the small Kubota dealers that have one on the lot. The big dealers will never give you a deal because people are lined up to buy machines. The smaller dealers are willing to work with you.
I own the same machine only it’s two years old. The more you use it the more you’ll like it. Congrats
True story! The more I use it the more I like it!
Just got mine and have 5.9 hours. Love It, just waiting on my tilt bucket

I just bought the same machine and will be appreciated if you share your experience
Thanks
so far, it's a great machine. Make sure you grease it often and change the oil in the tracks at regular intervals and it will last a LONG time

Were there other models you looked at? Why Kubota? So the ballpark price is $46K?

What camera did you use for the shots in the cab?
I was actually just holding my iphone 12 with the camera resolution turned up
How much was that beast?
