@@poeridley5942 it's what my local town's museum does. They said any time I have family that wants to see it to call them and they will come by and open it.
Yes! Here in Oshawa, we have a Regimental Museum which operates every day of the week except Sunday. My family did not know that and years ago we came by to tour the museum. Despite being closed, the volunteers there were gracious enough to show us around! Volunteers are the best and their passion for their museums is beautiful.
Thank you so much for visiting my neck of the woods. I live 20 miles north of Valparaiso in Crestview. Adam the Woo lived in Niceville right next to Valparaiso in the early 90’s! (You probably already knew that). Makes me smile when the vloggers I subscribe to visit!
The noise you heard in Val-P was the sound of freedom. It was fighter aircraft taking off at EG-LYN is how you pronounce it by the way. Air Force personel are considered Airman, not soldiers FYI...the fire fighter suits are for fighting fires on aircraft-its a special suit for the temps that the plane can have. I lived on Eglin back in the 90's stationed at Hurlburt Field. The armament museum has definitely improved since I've been there many years ago. My best friend worked on the MOAB program back when it was being developed. You would be surprised how many times maintenance crews/pilots would forget to remove plugs before flight. The red covers and streamers obviously makes it easier to see and be reminded of their removal. I love goofy golf, played there many times over the years. Awesome vlog!
16:27 Swastika is an ancient symbol that was common around the world long before the World War II-era Nazis adopted it. I’ve seen this symbol in vintage images of Native American wigwam structures as well as woven basketry and rug designs. At one time, it was good luck, well-being. In many cultures, it still is.
I'm a born and raised local from the area of this video now located in Arizona, but I love getting to see others explore the area I grew up in. I often feel I underappreciated some of these great locations as a kid. An it's nice to know they're still around for the next generation. Thanks Jacob, for all that you do.
I did not know there were othe Goofy Golf locations. Fun fact: the family of the current owner of the Mysterious Mansion in Gatlinburg developed the one in PCB.
That Martin Baker ejection seat, saved my life 40-45 miles off San Diego back in 04. I had a catastrophic electronics failure, that led to emgine failure. I am actually a member of the Martin Baker tie club. Great video as always Jake
Don’t forget about my Goofy Golf in Lake George, NY… I still have my original scorecard from it in the Seventies, with a character named Sir Goofy Golf on it! Of course, the Haunted Castle attraction next to it at the same location isn’t open anymore, but oh well.
I live in Valparaiso, just down the street where you were at at the post office. Welcome to Eglin AFB…the jet sounds you hear overhead is what we call the Sounds of Freedom
most of those "Remove before flight" things were stopping stuff from entering the planes engine so it would be pretty bad to leave one in and have no air flowing through the jets or cooling the engines
Shame that you didn't get the chance to feed the alligators with bait and a pole. Lot of fun but its probably shut down because its so cold. Glad you stopped by my town of Destin🐊
Lol lol, when I saw the double seated interior of the outhouse, I started laughing so hard it sounded like Marty McFly's dad. Your videos get better every time. ❤🎉Thank you for getting me through some tough times.
I am excited to say that my area in Kansas has finally broke out of temps below freezing. We are still gray and overcast but I believe this weekend the sun will be making an appearance whoot whoot! Enjoyed this video, I was the Hospice nurse of a very special veteran lieutenant Brimer pilot of p51 mustang in the European theater. He developed alz/dementia his wife took immaculate care of him. He was bed bound but developed 0 none zip pressure wounds or bed sores. Most beautiful thing I witnessed is their love they had , he never forgot her name "my Mary". His taught him to respond to the question...whose your favorite nure? He responded "my nurse Debbie" made my heart melt and he would give me a salute. He loved his mustang he did get get shot a couple different and that plane got him back safely. The day he died he still had shrapnel from his plane in him. So when you showed that mustang I shred a couple of tears and thanked lieutenant Brimer. Sorry I rambled on there. Destin Beach did look beautiful. Are you going to the festival of the arts at epcot. Tell Goofy hi for me.. Keep up the great worķ
Good morning Jacob thanks for sharing.the goofy golf ⛳ and the funpucker's alligator 🐊 park and other things. You have fun. 🤓📸👍the air force museum, that looks awesome.
I spent so much of my childhood traveling to Pensacola. I was always so fascinated by that bus full of mannequins! I was dying to walk up to it and look inside. I can confirm that at least the driver was once a functioning animatronic (not quite sure I remember the others moving). I believe he either waved or at least moved his torso back and forth. I can’t quite remember the movement but I know for a fact he at least moved. As someone who has always been very fascinated with animatronics, he definitely caught my attention! 😁
Love the E.UM rule!!!! Major imput. As you always say learn something new everyday. I think It being January alot of things will be closed up for now. Not being the season etc.... I hope you and Jenn are both keeping well.. XXX
Id love to see you go to tarpon springs which is a cute little greek town and village. The sponge docks are fun to see soak in the greek atmosphere and other stuff as well 😀 😊
You were right down the road from where I work at Eglin AFB. I actually work right outside the base at the Veteran's Affairs medical clinic. Glad you got to visit our area. I live in Defuniak Springs, FL. You should come visit us up here.
The skeleton in the top hat patch that you pointed out belongs to the 95th Fighter Squadron, known as "The Boneheads". It is still an active fighter squadron at Tyndall AFB just twenty miles east of Panama City Beach. The aircraft was an F-80 that the 95th use to fly years ago. The 95th has since flown the F-15 Eagle, F-22 Raptor and are currently flying the F-35. I was an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist (Weapons Loader) in the 95th from 1993 to 96 and 1997 to 2007 when they were flying the F-15. One of my jobs was to load the things that go boom on the aircraft.
Hello Jacob, been enjoying your Florida visit even when it's been cooler there. Always cool places to visit down there. I lived in Florida for 10 year. I miss it, I'm up here in Michigan where it's been very cold lately. I lived down near Ft. Lauderdale cool things to do down there like taking The Jungle Queen boat tour ride I used to love going on that and taking an airboat ride at some of the airboat ride attractions one called Holiday Park west of Ft. Laud. In the Everglades plus deep sea fishing and trips to Miami and Key west. Plenty to check out attractions. I enjoy your visit to some of the cool restaraunts you stop at. Along all your journeys. Enjoy your travels, stay safe. Later gator.😁👀
An awesome video, Jacob! When you stop and eat at seafood, shellfish restaurants, I'm glad that you can eat that type of food. I can't eat any seafood shellfish because I am fatally allergic to seafood, strawberries, and bacon. I have the highest allergic reaction to those foods. So, I steer clear of those restaurants that serve any type of food from the water.
Good for you, having a lot of healthy food in your mobile kitchen! The Air Force Armament Museum was amazing, I loved it. And the Destin Beach was beautiful. Thank you for taking us!
My town's historical museum is only open 4 hours on Thursdays but will open if you call them. I donated a few items and they told me depending on how many people stop by my house my items may get more visitors.
When you are in the area, you should check out Alligator Adventure in North Myrtle Beach, behind House of Blues. Last time I went, they had a giant live albino gator. Definitely a fun time

Hi Jacob, very nice episode again, and showing much new stuff for me. Florida is probably the best location to be in this time of year. About the Air Force Armament Museum. Very nice, really liked that! The yellow-colored contraption you saw hanging there is actually one of the world's first drones. It is a V1, an autonomous flying bomb like the ones launched by the Nazis to destroy London in WW2. Very close to where i live, near Hells Highway as known from Operation Market Garden is a local historic aircraft museum, named "Liberating Wings", to commemorate and honor all our allies from the USA, Canada, Poland, and France who freed Belgium and the Southern part of the Netherlands. Their effort and losses are still remembered and celebrations are held once a year, all along Hells Highway.

Aw I remember going to Fudpuckers with my grandparents when we went to visit my great uncle
Fudpuckers prices went up significantly since 2019. It was always a bit of a tourist trap but $15 to 20 meals used to be the Bill of Fare.
My nephew used to work there as one of the gator handlers. Unfortunately, I've never been there.
They used to give you a toy Dino when you ordered a hamburger
Some of you are confusing Fudpuckers (Destin Beach Tiki Bar&Grill + Alligator park) with
Fuddruckers upscale hamburger restaurant chain out of Texas.
