- Let’s continue out look at these Pokémon cards I borrowed from my son. This is an ASMR style video meant to help distract your busy mind. It is mostly soft spoken, with page turning and counting at the end.
I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for all the nice comments!

Love the Pokémon content! The “Wizards” on the card bottom signifies the company that printed the cards, in this case “Wizards of the Coast,” who printed the non-Japanese cards for the Pokémon Company from about 1998-2003. They were famous at the time for being the production company for Magic the Gathering, which started becoming popular in the US a few years before Pokémon was released as a trading card game.
Oh, ok, interesting. Thanks for the info!
"thats what she said" 😂😂 good one
I can’t help myself. 🥸😜
Really hoping your son never runs out of Pokemon cards!
Loving this series and your channel! Well done!
Thank you so much! I'm going to have to start asking the neighborhood kids to loan me their cards too. lol!!
I have definitely watched your channel and love it too!
No way we got a that's what she said joke 😂 2:04
I just can’t help it! 🤪
22:20 Fun fact, the glitter used in the old holofoil got co-opted for use in EU banknote production as a security measure, so you can't get cards with that kind of effect now.
I have some old dice made with it and as a result they are now quite valuable
That’s cool!! I had no idea! Thanks!
Real life Pokémon geek, I actually played the card game as well as the video games. Just thought if you or anyone cared what the circles with symbols mean I could help a little with the odd looking ones:
Maroon-colored fist signifies a fight Pokémon,
Gray stars are “normal” Pokémon,
Light purple eyes are psychic Pokémon,
Green leafs are leaf Pokémon,
Grey triangles inside a dotted triangle are steel Pokemon.
:)
Thanks so much!! Great info.
there were dark and light cards but that was only in the card game, the anime and games never refrenced either they were just kind of a gimmick to keep the game fresh
Oh, interesting. Thanks for the info!
best vids ever
Thanks so much! 😊
I wish I was this organized as a kid.
I lost all my cards and still haven't forgiven myself for that.
Cute content tho
Loving these videos
Thanks!
The artist that kept coming up is Ken Sugimori. He’s the art director and primary character designer for Pokémon. He was the original illustrator for the franchise.
Interesting! Thanks for the info!
Love these Pokemon videos, thank you!
You are definitely the first to look at it, so I hope you enjoy it!! 🌷
@seanhudson2699 I won't be doing a livestream anytime soon. I think if you use the search function there are many content creators who have posted the kind of video you are looking for. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.
@@Nofrillsasmr well in your next video could you at least use the white latex gloves please
To be honest, I don't plan to. I think you may need to look elsewhere.
@@Nofrillsasmr i was wondering for your next video if you could do a dentist video or a washing dishes or a cooking video could you use your White latex gloves please
ken sugimori was the one that designed the original 151 and since then is design lead
Oh, interesting. Thanks!
happy easter 🐰
Thank you!! To you too!
22:15 Stars upon thars? Was that a Sneetches reference? Lol I love it 😄
Yes! The Sneetches!! ⭐️
The Dark pokemon cards you have were the pokemon that have been captured and turned bad by team rocket hints the big black R on the right side of the cards.
Team Rocket was always kind of funny! Thanks for the info.
This video is a mess and I love it!
It's what I do best! Lol!
super relaxing
I’m so glad you think so! Thanks for watching!!
Slayyy
Ok! Thanks!!
You have so much money in cards. I pray your son either uses these in trades or will sell them for you
@shadobaggins7131 I'm glad you enjoy them! I have only borrowed them from my son to look through. I think he just keeps them for fun and because he has an interest in the artwork on the cards. Thanks for commenting!
@@Nofrillsasmr of course! I treat cards like stocks lol
@@shadobaggins7131 There's been nothing particularly valuable in either of these vintage videos. They're still neat to see, but please stop treating bulk common and uncommons like they are of much value.
I get so annoyed clearing my throat :/
I don't really understand this comment. Do you mean I was clearing my throat?
From Bulpedia:
“Dark Pokémon were introduced in the Team Rocket set in the first generation to signify the corruption of Pokémon by the evil team; Team Rocket. These were introduced as evolved Pokémon whom can evolve from any of their basic forms. They have made many subsequent appearances in the card game since their inception.”
Although we haven’t seen any yet, there are indeed light Pokémon cards! Again, pulled from Bulpedia:
“Light Pokémon were introduced in the Neo Destiny set (the set of cards released a few years after the Team Rocket set) as a counterpart to the Dark Pokémon. The Light Pokémon signify Pokémon that are incorruptable. As such, these Pokémon could not evolve from Dark Pokémon. However, like Dark Pokémon, they evolve from a normal basic Pokémon.”
Last little fun fact,
If you look in the lower right corner of the Pokémon’s art, just outside the art, on each card you’ll see a little symbol, in the dark Pokémon cards case, the Team Rocket “R”. These are symbols the signify each “set” the card was made and released in, was a smart idea IMO early on to help players discuss exactly which card they could be referring to in conversation or when trying to buy online due to there being so many different iterations and cards of every Pokémon.
I will look for that symbol! Thanks!
Love you Linda ❤️🙂
Aw, thanks!! 💐
