Same! I suddenly started singing just the melody of that part of the song (Adam's part) last night after having not even heard it for months and I had to listen back through the last few KSE albums to find where it was from, haha.
"Silence the voice of the self-righteous, condescending and without grace Give sight to those who are blind with hatred, to see beyond hypocrisy My soul searches beyond the aether, beyond the dogmatic haze I still believe" Incredible lyrics.
@@andrej7840 those lyrics are essential classical liberalism.. the founding American documents, individualism, etc etc. America was built on classical liberalism, you do you, I do me we accept those differences and don’t force our view On others
I’m not gonna get into Howard vs Jesse thing.. both are amazing singers love them both..but combination of jesses and Adams voice is just pure heaven..it’s not just a singer it’s a band..
@@dorukuysal8372 Jesse is better than former Jesse, Howard is better than former Howard 🤣 Yea Adam part is on point! even Joel's atmospheric, serene plucks, mike's grooves n melodies, justin sense of rhythm that grooves people 👍
Can we take a moment to appreciate how good Jesse is on this track? While his cleans are really commendable, it's his screaming that's really blowing me away. This is a fast song, the fact that he's able to put infliction in his voice and go from growls to the high pitched screams so quickly is so impressive.
My favorite KSE track. Gives me goosebumps everytime. Thoughtful lyrics, brutally heavy at times, melodic. I love the atmospheric elements going on the latter part of the song. So fucking good. Round of applause.
Best song of the new album so far. That's not to say the others have been crap; there is just something about this one that hits all the right levels. Two days to go!
That bass in the intro is fucking spot on and sounds beautiful :D This album just gets better and better with each song ;) Sounds just as good as Disarm the Descent, and I thought that album was a brilliant return to form, they're still going strong
Still one of my favorite songs of all time, its like having an audio window into the world of magic. I am from western MA like the band and they capture the essence of this place so well in their sound
+Ahmed Freak The old KSE was epic. This is pure crap. They messed up big time with most of these songs. And of course, anyone who doesn't know shit about music will say that this album is awesome (out of the 5 songs released so far). It's not awesome. It's not well made, except for Strength of the Mind.
@@josetrenche4072 Hey listen to Hate by design man it is awesome.I actually liked only that in this entire album.Strength of the mind is like okay for me.
Absolutely my favorite from Incarnate. HOW CAN ONE SONG BE SO BEAUTIFUL, REALLY?!? Those harmonies and melodies.. Just beautiful. Makes me cry when I'm on emotional mood.
+mak0321 ye i didn't like cut me loose when i first heard it but it really grew on me and it's definitely on the upper half on my favorites for the album
Yo that intro is so fucking badass! "LETS GOOO!" and the double bass drum hits. The chorus is pretty stellar too, with the rapid shredding guitar in the background give me goosebumps
This has to be my favorite off of Incarnate. Purely amazing. I like how Jesse keeps screaming "I still believe". Kinda like his reaffirmation of faith in God and the unknown in the face of an ever-agnostic world.
+jacobjedi2 That is absolutely the same feeling I get every time I hear this song. Some seriously powerful shit here. I wouldn't expect anything less from that man.
+Jacob I think the best thing about Jesse's lyrics is that there's never truly one subject. He says that his lyrics are more spiritual than anything. The great thing about music in general though is that the meaning is "in the ears of the beholder" I guess you could say. Some people hear things about God in Jesse's lyrics, whereas I hear something completely different, and that's awesome to me.
***** Exactly. When he wrote them, you can definitely tell the subjects are usually drawn from his faith or struggles with faith, but he writes them in a way so they don't feel preachy and thus people who don't share our worldview can still relate and be inspired.
Gotta be honest. I don't believe in God and I know Jesse is very clear on that subject, but I still like this song by how it is. And more compared to most of the artists today releasing material that quite frankly, has been heard before or it's just generic crap. I'm thankfull for people like him and this band for making songs like this that can make the difference for many people.
***** trust me man, all internet bullshit aside. I love slayer too, I don't know everything about them, but they are pioneers for metal music forsure. Finally.. A song that actually stands out on its own and the one song that differentiated itself from sounding like any of their previous albums.. None of the riffs sounded like a previous song, neither did the chorus or that amazing out to.. This song just sold me the album. Well done.
This reminds me of the first time my faith was tested and I began my slow ascent into an atheist. The realization that you'd been brainwashed and lied to your entire life can fuck you up.. Some seriously powerful shit here. I wouldn't expect anything less from that man. On a side note, I've no doubt he still has faith in god, and that's all well and good, but it's very apparent this song is about his faith being tested.
wow men sounds like the real beginning of KSE, like another song from the album alive or just breathing but with a new and fresh touch, really good guys \m/,
Lyrically Jesse is so much better. Was sick hearing about lost love. Jesse writes about topics like hate, self development & improvement. So inspirational yet still heavy as hell. Album of the year, hands down.
