For best book I’ve read in 2024 I have to say Pride and Prejudice. I had already seen the mini series and the 2005 adaptation but had never read the book and it was amazing! Elizabeth and Darcy have such fantastic character growth and the tension and banter between them was everything to me!
For biggest surprise, I have two:
    1) Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries: I was scared it wasn’t going to live up to the hype but to my pleasant surprise I loved it! It gave such cozy whimsical vibes
    2) Nevermoor - The Trails of Morrigan Crow: definitely wasn’t expecting much from this one as it’s a middle grade and I am 24 and clearly not the target audience. But oh my gosh it was so fun and so cute! I was hooked immediately and couldn’t put it down. Apparently it’s a series and I am determined to read the rest of the books

ooo i also read emily wilde’s this year and really was happy i enjoyed it as well! i’m looking forward to reading the sequel!
i’ve had my eye on nevermoor but haven’t read middle grade in a while but hearing that we’re around the same age and you enjoyed it makes me more interested to pick it up! ☺️❤️❤️

I recently got into a book buying ban, but hearing you talk about Never Let Me Go made me want to break it right now 😂 Nice video as always!❤ Answering the questions was really fun, but I think I went too far and wrote a lot xD, so here are some of them~ (hoping this won't be too long for a comment):
    1. best book you’ve read in 2024:
So far, I think it has been When In Rome by Sarah Adams, just because I needed this kind of heartwarming romance with no miscommunications or a lot of sadness (especially after finishing The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue), and it was PERFECT!
    4. new release you haven't read yet, but want to:
"Me too doesn't mean I love you" by Violeta Reed was a book from last year, but it was translated in January, so for me, it counts lol
    6. biggest surprise:
The priory of the orange tree! I was a little afraid of reading it because I am not a fan of high fantasy books, but it was so nice that it became a favorite of mine immediately💕
    8. newest fictional crush:
    Nolan Sawyer, my beloved~
    9. book that made you cry:
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I think I ruined the book with my tears; it was amazing, tho ^^
    10. book that made you happy:
Beach Read! I LOVED IT SOOOOOO MUCH
    12. what books do you need to read by the end of this year:
Never let me go; I need it, NAOWWW.
    15. a book you enjoyed with mixed reviews:
Always Never Yours, I don't remember the authors right now, and I'm ashamed. It was NOT a good book for me, but I enjoyed anotating everything, roasting the characters in my comments, and being a hater from the begining 👌It was fun to hate it, would read it again just for that
