I have had 4 wires in my life. They all have their own personalities. They do have several propensity driven instincts. They have a high prey drive and tend to try and establish dominance of other dogs. Placing your dog in a group is like taking an aggressive toddler and plopping him down unsupervised in a group of other toddlers. Someone could get hurt especially with much larger dogs because anko will not back down if challenged. His yelps when the larger dogs try and dominate him is a stones throw from him being aggressive. I would encourage you to have him interact one on one with another dog who is easy going and placid. Wires were designed to be an aggressive independent hunting dog who catches its prey and kills it or drives it out of its den so the hunters can. They are charming cute beautiful animals and great companions but at heart they are take no prisoners obsessed driven beings. You must be careful how you socialize him a dog pack will resort to instinct and his is to be boss dog regardless how big or how many other dogs are there. He will keep you very busy enjoy him.
Wire fox terriers are a really difficult breed to handle. They are not a breed that you can keep just because they are cute, but they are also a breed that can be a great partner if you train them properly. Anko has learned to play with other dogs since he was a little boy, so he has never had any serious injuries. He is a really smart dog. I'm not very good at English, so some of my sentences may be strange, but I hope you can get along with me.
@@wirefoxterrier-channel3004 Your English is fine. I’m glad your pup is socialized well. I was just commenting on my observations of how the dogs were interacting. I’m not a big fan of “dog parks” here in the states where people let their dogs just be dogs. I prefer more structured interactive play with my wires with other dogs who can tolerate their shenanigans. Like the end of your video with the two. Your dog keeps his distance showing respect and when he tries to mount them they just move away. They are all really smart actually many times smarter then us.
Dogs are smarter and braver than we think. If you keep a good distance between people and dogs, and between dogs and people, both people and dogs can live happily. It's a sad fact that there are many people who keep pets as a fashion statement.
ANY terrier I ever had, or knew, would fight to the death--to the death, and they don't care--at all, how big the other dog is. You can KILL a terrier, but never dominate it. they tend to be loners, not really able to get along with other dogs. IF you still insist on having a terrier and any other dog, mix the sex, never two females, never never two males, and never, never, NEVER two males if one or both are intact. "There will be blood" and YOU will pay the vet bills.
Foxies are incredibly robust and I never trust mine with his canine companions, he is usually quite friendly but I quickly learnt that mounting was never ever a good sign. Hugo can get very aggressive and strangely enough he often provokes other dogs on leash. Off leash less so.
My was a nut that would try and fight any animal that came in his space (we tried socializing him young but were quickly asked not to return to the puppy classes). Just an absolute warrior. No fear No surrender. I once had to pull him off the tire of a garbage truck he decided he was gonna fight. I've had other terriers and they were all able to be socialized no problem but the foxie was built different.
@@wirefoxterrier-channel3004 No Problem, I use to own a Wire Fox Terrier as well so I can relate to the dog's sense of humor, as for the Shiba Inu, it was Doge, however I can't help but feel empathetic for Cheems.
This fox terrier was only interested in trying to aggressively mount the Shibu for dominance. It was wrong to allow a now adult fox terrier to behave like this in a mixed dog park. Shibu should have removed her dog rather than Allie it to be subjected to this. Owner was incorrect to permit this and allow this level of excitement. Fox terriers need to be taught manners and self control around their high energy, they are smart dogs and capable. Big failure of owner, and the dog.
Not to be mean but your dog had a bad behaviour with the shiba, he was trying to dominate it and that's why the other dogs were biting him, to correct him.
@@wirefoxterrier-channel3004 Just to start with I've had multiple terriers that we trained and socialized to success. My WFT though could not be around other animals. No matter how much training, classes etc... he was a little warrior. He was great with people though.
Okay 1.) If you don’t plan on using your dog to have puppies, neuter your dog. They will continue to want to hump dogs. It’s not cruel, you are doing other owners a favor and also your dog, because it wants to relive sexual tension. 2.) Have a trainer help you and your dog to learn appropriate dog manners amongst other dogs. Your dog seems to be pretty okay with other dogs, however they should learn a command called “off”.
Pay attention to the other dogs. The Old English Sheepdog sensed a problem immediately and tried to break the two of them up throughout this video. If he and the other dogs know there's something wrong the humans should have figured it out. The OES was constantly trying to stop the Wire Haired Terrier. Stupid humans.
Even in a 3v1 roughhouse, the will of the wire fox terrier is indominable.
It's like his tactic is skirmishing play fighting.

😡 Such a beautiful wire , belongs with other of his kind. I love them so much and it hurts, to see him like that.

Que duros son los Fox Terrier, tuve el placer de tener uno conmigo `por 16 años, son increibles.
Ninguna otra raza es tan buena como un Wire Fox Terrier. Un perro realmente inteligente y divertido.
My 2 Favorite Dog Breeds Playing together! 💓

An uncomfortable watch. Just wanted to hug the Foxie ❤️
Horribly uncomfortable to watch
I also have a wire fox terrier but she is not friendly and I am almost never able to pet her. Is your wire fox terrier friendly?

That's right. But I think it's necessary for dogs to learn to socialize with each other. We stop them before they get into big fights.
I thought the Shiba was being a jerk. Not the wire.
