A very fitting tribute to one of harness racing's premier ambassadors. I had the privilege to work for Stanley as a caretaker in my younger days. As I reminisce I'm 100% sure his legacy shines upon us from the winner's circle in the heavens.
i used to take my younger sister to Batavia Downs when she was about 10 yrs old. we'd stand on the planks on the back fence in the barn area and watch the NY Sire Stakes Races. so often either Stanley Dancer and/or Billy Haughton would come off the track on the bike and stop and ask if my sister wanted to pet the horse.very, very nice men they were.

Dancer was not a great driver ! He just had great horses !! Too much brag, no class !!! Billy Houghton had class !!! HERVE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST !!!
