Nice new car park, with an interesting yellow house nearby. As I don't drive, its an area I don't get to see. Looking at the parking charges, I am glad I don't have to pay to park the bus or tram. What a huge embarrassment of a coach station is. After what you said about the toilets Steve, I think it's more important to provide coach passengers with a nice coach station building with toilets, cafe and shop. Your comments on the plant pots made me laugh Steve, but Blackpool does have it's nice gardens like, Jubilee Gardens and Gynn Square. The plant pots on Red Bank Road had lovely plants in with lots if lovely teddies placed among the flowers. And of course Stanley Park, one of the best parks in the UK. Another very interesting video Steve thank you xxx
Stephen, after seeing the nuclear bomb proof plant pots lol, you need to show your viewers the beautiful flowers & gardens at St Anne's (just past the pier) the gardeners have done a grand job.
Thanks for the update on the new developments pal I'll be coming back to my home this summer even if its just for a day. Hope I can catch up with you. Keep up the good work. My first ever job was linen porter at the Pembroke Hotel £2.62 an hour😂 I'll never forget the derby baths being demolished... is it still derelict? It was the last time I was there... I'll never forget getting the tram home after work.❤
Thank you very much for showing the new car park. It’s good to see things slowly getting better. But it’s too expensive for some people. If it was cheaper more people would come. xxx
Parking charges are the going rate for most town and city centres, unfortunately. As for getting cables stolen that’s only one of the reasons I’ll never be brainwashed into buying an electric vehicle. Great video as always Stephen. Take care my friend
I think the car park is quite expensive for Blackpool! The most expensive car park after London is in Bournemouth owned privately, not by the council. Thanks Stephen for another great video 🙏
i just spend the last two days in blackpool ,got a bit wet with the thunder storm which did not last long i think you were in the one pound berger bar ,i was sheltering in the centrol pier ,apart from that weather was great, bit expensive if you have a car
I have to say, what a welcome you get when getting off a coach lol, I suppose the only plus point about the place is the location. I usually get to Blackpool by train and the area around North station is certainly looking better now thanks to the investment in recent years.
Stephen, maybe you can test this... From the gazette, apparently you can pass through from seasiders way to Chapel Street... "The car park is operated by the council with charges starting from £4.50 for two hours using an automatic number plate recognition system. The ANPR system reads a registration plate on entrance and raises the barrier (without a ticket). Before returning to their car motorists then enter their registration number onto the payment machine, make the payment and the exit barrier will recognise they have paid. Drivers will get 15 minutes when they will not be charged, in order to enable people to still use the route to reach Chapel Street."
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Ahh OK, just would like to see how it works. Seems a bit mad to go through the car park, especially as initial renders they had on the boards around the site show the road curving round to join Chapel Street. But maybe that when it all finished and this is temporary, or maybe they'll just stick with this route. One things for sure, they need to tell people with signs, otherwise people just turn round and it'll be chaos when busy, also people turn round thinking it's not open because the barriers are down. Need to to have clear communication and signage and hopefully someone tries this cut through.
I think Blackpool is making a turning point for the better Stephen, new investment in key areas of the town can only be a good thing? & I believe your input of the town has made a difference and long may it continue, as always thanks for sharing another quality vlog ❤️👍
4:00 Ah construction 2024. Lay a nice expanse of bitumen, glorious in its even consistency. Then proceed to cut all manner of holes in it and do half hearted repair jobs. Bonus for breaking the seal to allow water ingress to accelerate the degradation.
Steve Blackpool should have a ampertheather especially for live shows and events as winter Gardens more for conventions and political parties in season what would Blackpool think if they had a ampertheather?
Great video Stephen. Over charging for parking for sure. The poor beleaguered motorist eh? The planters are a complete disgrace. Could plant some mini tress in those.
Thanks for another video Stephen, appreciate your time doing the vids. Car park will be good when it fully opens wonder why they only opened two floors? As for the electric charging points it's a sign of the times that the leads are being stolen. You're right there is a lot still to be sorted out regarding electric cars.😊😊😊
A bit steep the prices on that car park. I think that lady on the pavement recognised you on your bike she shouted something as you passed her. I believe the Euros are from Germany this year in August I think?
Yes, that carpark does look posh. Hopefully, it'll all look posh when it is finished & people might want to open up shops in Central Drive again, which will lift the area out of the pits
hi 👋 Stephen Blackpool getting better. I stayed in Blackpool last year for one week. We paid £15 per 24 hours I know it's expensive but everywhere else is the same 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍i am sure you can pay lot more than that 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Think the carparks are a total rip off I park on a side street north side of Blackpool when I come down for a weekend jump in a tram back to my hotel save ££££ great video Stephen
I live in the UK but I'm American. I laughed when you talked about the cables being stolen. In the States nearly every gas station had free to use air machines for your car tires but now they are as rare as Camels in Canoes due to hose theft. Isn't it crazy what people will steal?!?!?
Great video Sir, we need a walk on the wildside inside the derelict Police Station and Courts…. Do you think the local authorities might let us in?! 😂🤞 Euros this season and Blackpool not far away on the playoffs last season ⚽️ I will be up at Fleetwood next season so a night in Blackpool it is! ….Smithy
They are making an absolute fortune of people to leave their car inside this car park in the worst street in the UK. Well done Blackpool… They couldn’t had picked a worst place. But glad it’s done.
I would think its going be more expensive to park inside the new car park as its more secure than parking outside less chance of you car getting stolen or vandalised. One you need to use you card to enter and leave also its covered by cctv.
Hi Stephen i usually go that to get into blackpool from the motorway, done this for years, can you show us which way i can go off the motorway without going to the multi storey. Going in December for a weekend. Thanks
I think it's absolutely ridiculous , you can't pick Yeardon way up, from the town center, it was so easy to do before , you could pick the Rd up from the town center and it would take you strait to the motorway , what a joke, and vice verser, strait off the motorway , and into the town center, it's going to cause massive traffic jams , with cars trying to get into town, and leaving town, central dr, whitegate dr, preston new rd, and park rd, will all be totally at a standstill , when their his a big event on , like the air show , or the fire works , what on earth are the planners thinking, blocking that through Rd, and preventing people to drive , and come out in the town center, and go back to the motorway from the town center, in my opinion , it's a massive mistake ,
12 quid a day! 😢 That's money grabbing. By preventing parking on the front during the season they are forcing these extortionate prices on you. Only railway stations are this expensive. Don't they want people to come ? 🤬👎
No good for people that only drive vans with that height limit, height barrier at end of road 2.1m yet height in car park 1.9m max, oh there's going to be gridlock there when anythings on. Think ill stay way clear now.
I think the problem with people turning around and driving away is down to the up and down doors being closed as it looks like the place isn't open. As for charging cables being nicked, could be for the copper or the fact is the price they charge for a new one is out of this world, or it could be the domino effect, someone nicks yours so you nick someone else's and then they nick the next one.
Thanks, Stephen. £14.00 for 12 hours parking, daylight robbery. I thought they were trying to attract people to Blackpool, but no it seems they just want to rob you blind. It's little wonder that people vandalise the place, must be lots of angry people about with those prices. Blimey with those skies they should be offering free parking not ripping of the visitors that are brave enough to venture there on a gruesome rainy day.
Think about it Martin, you'll put £14 in a machine somewhere in Blackpool in 5 minutes not 12 hours. That's what I always think, keeps me calm, ha ha. Know what your saying though.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool you know though Steve, when you think about it, I always think parking should be free and we have got used to paying for it but is £14 for 12 hours expensive, hmm.

Never underestimate how bad the council can be.
Steven can you still use Talbot Road to access Blackpool North Station
Yes.
The EV charging pods you do need your own cable as a result 7.5Kw only

So, they built a car park on a car park. Only in Blackpool.
