Congratulations on an amazing run at the Swans. A premiership coach in 2012 and there isn't many of them at the Swans. 5 times been to a Grand Final as coach and 3 times finishing at the top of an AFL regular season as Minor Premiers. All the best Horse and hopefully it won't be the last we see you in the AFL realm.
@@cutupaquarterjugofwater4708 Thank you captain obvious. We all know that. Minor Premiers is a great achievement, but the Premiership Cup is main goal for any AFL club.
A true leader. Could have held on and made it really messy for the club. You contrast this with how some other long term coaches have had to be dragged kicking and screaming out of their clubs.
Its sad his last game was a GF shellacking but players should get most of that criticism. In general I dont think its a good idea for a coach to hang around the club when they stop coaching. It doesnt seem to work.
Fun facts. In the last 25 years 2 teams from outside top 4 have won flags. Both beat Longmires Swans in the GF. Coached 5 GFs in 12 years, combined plus/minus was -216 points. The win was 10 points. Losses of 60, 81, 22, 63. His GF presser with the Lions celebrations being heard next door summed up this blokes legacy pretty well.
Great coach obviously , ( side track attendances) Another an AFL created new position ? Don't forget about the game . Done deal through the year obviously, Be transparent FFS
Whilst I am sad to hear about Horse stepping down as HC of the Swans, I am also relieved that it should’ve happened five years earlier as he was basically the AFL equivalent to NRL head coach Ricky Stuart of the Canberra Raiders as both head coaches only won one premiership after inheriting the teams that Paul Roos and Graham Murray had built with the Swans and Sydney Roosters respectively, only to have a massive losing streak in the Grand Finals.
18 clubs that want nothing more than to play in a gf. This guy gets a team to more than any other modern coach and you still speak as if he's not one of the best to do it.
Clearly a good coach, but not a strong public speaker. Don’t think he inspires confidence naturally, which isn’t the be all and end all, but he doesn’t speak with much energy. Not basing it off this press conference, but all his annual speeches, the clips from the inner sanctum when he talks to players and staff etc.
To show emotion is a tribute to a great coach!
What a truly marvellous man, always admired Horse & the way he conducts himself. LEGEND player & coach.

Nobody cares who finished top at end of minor round. It's what happens a month later that counts

Great coach least he didn’t leave the swans hanging like dimma did to the tigs

Surely you're not referring to the man who thinks he is Kenenough for his club
@@barbenheimer736 I don't know who Kenenough is, but probably not.

Incredible coaching record 👏 He will always have 2012 🏆
😭😭😭
Terrible grand final record but 🏟
That's a profoundly luxurious flaw. Statistically, marvellous@@talbotdentureclinic9123
Quality human. Terrific leader.
End of era we will miss Longmire
Respect Horse! Won’t be long before the suitors come knocking.
Horse is a class act

You don't like him, we get it.

Have a rest John and put your hand up for Tasmania 👍
it's all about the lions 🦁 24 Grand Final 60 point mulling blood bath celebration at the MCG 🔥that was the last straw for John 😂
And here we are yet again....the 21st century......And no-one can get the sound right🤷♀....imagine that🤦♀
Horse, Big Cox...... I'm sensing a theme at the Swans 🤔
