When relationship of command came out I could not believe how much the album would change my life, after 20 years it took awhile to be able to listen without crying like a baby. The music I have discovered since I was a teen has truly shaped who I am. I felt rage like no other human has when they split, Mara Volta and Sparta are great but together they were pure life.
I just saw Circa Survive cover this last night after they played Act Appalled. Seriously, that was beyond words. I was amazed that they covered that song. Props to them, but also props to ATDI for making such an amazing song.
I love TMV, but I have to say that I love ATDI more. They were just so much more raw, so much more... real. The Mars Volta is more musically complex and the ultimate direction in which Cedric and Omar wanted to take their music, but without At the Drive-in, none of that would be possible. Relationship of Command and Vaya will never be topped for me by anything TMV puts out.
Wow, the crowd was great. They were rocking almost as hard as the band, and weren't moshing like idiots (from what I can tell). Another great ATDI performance. Every performance is great
im not the best pianist. i actually only know one song. and that song is invalid litter dept. my brother taught me it when i was 11 and im 17 now. ha. time goes by fucking fast. forgot how much i missed this beautiful music. its just not like this anymore.
This is freak’n harddddddd! Their energy is sooooo wow, just…WOW!!! The meaning of the song is sad but a fact that is still happening now! The crowd is in synchronousity with the song, with the band, with the atmosphere! Wish I could have been there, I would have head banged with the best, with the rest of them! P.s Twice mina’s beauty rules okay?!
PUTA MADRE COMO ADORO A ESTA BANDA!!!!!!!!!!!! Y MARS VOLTA TAMBIEN PERO ESTAS MAMADAS DE LA ADOLESCENCIA DE CEDRIC Y OMAR SON OTRO PUTO PEDO!!! VUELVEN!!!! COACHELA 2012
@greatgregmurf It was amazing. I heard "Dancing on the corpses ashes" and I started tripping out. I don't think that many people knew who it was though.
if ur asking me then he said it in an article for the ElPaso times TMV had a gig there , first in a long time , and he said he'd be open to a ATDI reunion
🎸🎶🎶🎶 dancing on the corpse's ashes, dancing on the corpse's ashes callous heelsnumbed in travelendless maps madeby their scalpels on my waynails broke and fellinto thewishing well, wishing wellwishing well, wishing well 💪❤❤👂👂👂
Omar has to switch guitars so often from what I've seen of ATD-I and Mars Volta live. He seems to have such bad luck with electrics cutting out on him. He's still fucking awesome though.
The "Never Meant" of post-hardcore.
Today I discovered ATDI. It was a good day...

5:50 energetic release for both band and crowd....goosebumps moment
But seriously, how can you not mosh to the breakdown. Jesus christ. Powerful song.
I just rock out like the band.
El PASO EVERYONE RECOGNIZE THE MESSAGE BEHIND THIS SONG NOT JUST THE MUSIC
For sure man and now is the time to finish that kind of bull shit
Fucking perfect band and album even live.. damn the way the crowd jumps you don't get that anymore.. very underated band that deserves their due ..
6:33 probably the most epic inhuman emotion scream beond the rock history .

What's your opinion on Sparta?
the greatest punk/emo band of all time. also really love the message behind the song, I wasn't previously aware of it until now
Emo?🤣🤣
@@nickhutt6264 ...their debut is literally cap'n jazz worship
Wow, the crowd was great. They were rocking almost as hard as the band, and weren't moshing like idiots (from what I can tell).
Another great ATDI performance. Every performance is great
The three dislikes are from people who were supposed to go to the show, but their mates took someone else.
most emotional song ever

I wish I wasn't 14 when these guys broke up. I might have had the sense to see them in concert before it was too late.
You’re speaking FACTS right now.
i literally got chills down my back when the ending came up..i wish they would do a reunion tour like the rumors say :(
The ending is sublime

if that was the case then At the drive-in would be still be around.
the mars volta is evolution of music.
I just got chills like 10 times
...
Both Benjamin Franklin's writing and this music are beautiful.
Prolly this is the best performance of this song they have done that I have ever heard....

My favorite ATD-i live moment.
if ur asking me then he said it in an article for the ElPaso times

VIVA MEXICO!!!
Omar has to switch guitars so often from what I've seen of ATD-I and Mars Volta live. He seems to have such bad luck with electrics cutting out on him. He's still fucking awesome though.
What YEAR WAS THIS??? pls!!!
Likely 2000 or 2001, they might have played this song before Relationship of Command released, I'm not too sure.
5:50 - amazing
Cedric has stated recently he would only be doing it for the money
wwuuaaar si yo estuviera ahi no pareceria una estatua!!! y menos por ser de juarez u,u
