this was my first ever animation where i actually did rough animation first and i think it paid off immensely...... though i am never doing cleanup this way ever again!

I absolutely love the moment at 2:08 where the saw is being presented to the screen, the bounce in the character's hand is such a small detail, but it just makes it feel.. idk alive? It was a whole extra detail in a 1 second scene and I love it

Honestly this character makes me think of like. You're playing D&D with premade characters, and your GM hands you a sheet that's clearly some kind of Surgeon/Serial Killer build, but he left the Alignment space blank! So you just look him dead in the eye as you write in "Chaotic Good" and now you're playing a violent bonesaw who only wants to help you with your body image.

You don't need framerate to make something smooth and enjoyable. You need artistic intent and an understanding of motion.
This is done really well, it's hard to believe it's only 18fps.

I love the point of this song, or at least the way I interpret it. To me, the idea is "do what you want with your body because you suffer the consequences of your own choices", and "don't let anyone keep you from doing what you want with your own body". You rarely see a song with such a odd yet realistic theme.

@@gwan1714 self harm has less to do with making your body look different and more just a twisted way to either force yourself to "feel something" other than depression or for some a twisted way to punish yourself because of some guilt your feelings force on you.
Body modifications stand out for a reason, you want to express yourself to others and stand out from the crowd, or fit in with another, to feel a bit better about yourself. By contrast most people who self harm hide their scars and cover up stuff about themselves like their feelings because it's internalized.
Something like cutting yourself is a lot different than getting a tattoo or wearing piercings.
@@gwan1714 self harm and body modifications are two separate things. Self harm is often the result to feel something from people suffering depression or a result from past trauma. Self harm is unwanted, but difficult to stop once it starts.
Body modifications are always wanted (unless it’s needed from injury to a limb) and done to make yourself more appealing to others or just yourself

Hey Aim, this is probably going to be drowned out by all the other comments, but as a musician, I understand that this was especially challenging considering the time signature change to 7/4 in the choruses( or 4/4 + 3/4, same thing), while the verses stay in 4/4.
