Yes this story is incredible and I give Lance the biggest props but what is also incredible is the downward spiral that this place has been in since the two greats have gone.
always said you gotta respect the Strolls. Lance has proven on numerous occasions he deserves to be in f1 and his multiple podium finishes and poll position back that up. Lawrence's impact on f1 cannot be understated either. He helped William's when they had financial troubles, saved a team (force india/racing point) from collapsing, subsequently saving hundreds of jobs, and has brought a big name manufacturer to the sport. love em or hate em, you gotta respect them.
No! Lance is decently quick, good enough to be F1, but his lack of awareness should have gotten him fired! Him getting podiums is unrepresentative of how well he faired, may i recall he finished 11th with the 3rd fastest car in 2020!

The moment Lance manages to be a more consistent driver, he becomes one of the greats on the grid. He can be pretty quick when everything goes right for him. It just lacks consistency (a lot).
Fernando's determined fire and drive and leadership encouraged Lance behind the wheel. Not only did he drive the whole race but held it tight up at the top. Well done Lance.
Many sportsmen have done very similar things. A European motocross champion I know broke his collarbone and had a massive splinter in a shin bone and was back racing 2 weeks later. Its amazing the technology that private health care has, basically welding bones back together
Always had a fairly good opinion on Lance. I felt fans were unfair to him. He's not had it the hardest but he's not had it easy either. And clearly he's capable. I mean he has a podium and a pole position. Hulkenberg and Norris don't have both do they?
Norris has lots of podiums and even a pole, the heck are you talking about? Even Hulkenberg got a pole with a Williams in 20100! Also, he's decently quick but no race-craft, which is quite embarrassing for an F1 driver!
I used to be saying that lance was pretty good and people would be treating him like he was older than he is because he joined the sport very young. Then he had his big shunts after tire failures in tuscany and Baku, and I felt like he got scared and didn't care enough if he was 12th or 14th. But still he's a young talented guy, that can make it.

I think Lance was under pressure this year , he knew that they had a good car , if he gave the car to Felipe , he might have performed really well & put even more pressure against stroll. So he was smart imo if the car was shit he would have left
Stroll has proved that he can drive before, he just doesn't seem to put in these performances and price or to people often enough. Even without the European F3 gross being particularly stacked in 2016 and being in the best team, winning over half the races and scoring 507 points to the 320 of second place is still an extremely impressive result, and just look at Baku 2017 and Turkey 2020 if you want to know what he can do at his best, he just doesn't seem to be able to string it together into a full race all that often
Stroll is underrated. He didn't want to ended up like Kubica who gave the opportunity to the reserve driver and let them made their own name until he lost the spotlight

At first, I think Drugovich should have been the one in the race. However, I am impressed with Lance's P6 finish. I think he does get a bad rap. He does have three podiums including the last one for Williams as of now. Just hope he can carry this over.
Felt like lance was generally a decent midfield driver on his day (even with daddy’s money) even before these past few weeks. Main thing he still needs to learn is defensive driving and road awareness. Would trust him more on a quali lap than on a road in Italian rush hour traffic
Not really impressed with the drive tbh. It was middle of the line aided by a good car. Charles' DNF also helped rank Lance higher. However, credit where it's due, it was nice to see the hustle and grind. End of the season would shed more light on the matter.
Lance is my age. He's been well aware of the hate he's gotten. It messes with people. Millions of people telling you you're a shit driver that's only there because your dad is rich. That has an effect on any human. I've always thought the hate was unwarranted, especially considering most F1 drivers have been spoiled to a certain degree. Landos dads money bought his way through Karting and junior formulas. He bought his way to F1 like literally every driver. Maybe once you're a legend, people will start to pay you. But up to a point, you pay to play.

If it was you or I we would be heading straight off home to recover - absolutely no reason to stay in a hospital bed - All bandaged up with a few bruises and a hairline fracture. All a publicity stunt, just in case Stoll could not make it the Bahrain GP - they created a story far worse than it actually was.
I don’t particularly like Lance Stroll or his father. With that said after getting the OK from Doctors and the FIA what Lance accomplished in just a few weeks from his accident is impressive. Hope he can keep it up. Better competition from all teams is better for the sport and the fans.
Nothing against Lance, while he isn't a good F1 level driver he is not a bad one either. I do not doubt his drive, he wants desperately to prove he belongs in F1 and isn't just a paid driver. However, I do not believe for one second that Lidocaine or similar local anesthetics weren't involved. Fans hate to hear it and will go to absurd lengths to deny their favorite action star does not do steroids or that their favorite athlete preforms with injuries is anything but will and toughness. Sorry but Ben Affleck used steroids to bulk up and gain definition for Batman and Lance used a local anesthetic to race last weekend. Those aren't illegal, it isn't against some sporting rule in F1 and it isn't in any way cheating. But, this idea that its all guts, toughness and courage is fantasy.
Credit where credit is due. Stroll showed some tenacity there and on a good day he can be quite fast. But that's it, on a good day. It's not natural talent and he makes stupid mistakes... Like hitting Alonso.
I don't get why people just assume that Lance has a seat. If you don't think Lawrence would fire him if he was that bad, your crazy. You don't become a massive billionaire by being a pushover and you don't just turn that drive on and off. I've fired family, it's sucks, but is necessary sometimes.
His determination is definitely driven by his desire to prove his deniers wrong. Yet another proof hard work can beat a lack of natural talent, at least to some degree
Lance Stroll got some natural talent, the problem is his lacks of determination! Mayhbe he got some now because he knows he risks to lose his seat at the end of the season!
Beating Verstappen in qualifying on one of the slickest tracks F1 has ever qualified on shows he does have natural talent. I think he's just a little too cocky to be honest. If he gets a little more humility I think he could be a great F1 driver. This process he went through shows that he does have passion and determination. I don't want to speak too soon, but there's a principle that if you face challenges and try to push through things in the most difficult circumstances, doing the same thing becomes easier in normal circumstances. It's very well possible that this will give him an edge on some drivers because driving will become easier as his wrists heal.

Yes, my opinion has changed. He knowingly and willingly endangered others (not just other drivers) by racing before he was able to fully control the car.
No one has made what is to me a very obvious reference. Maybe it's because I'm Canadian and see this all the time, though that doesn't diminish the significance. This is like a hockey player playing with multiple broken bones and yet succeeding, and playing great hockey. It happens more than we know, because injuries that players play through are not always disclosed (or were not in the past). It's mostly Canadian players that do this, but not just Canadian players, and it's not every player. Hockey can be a brutal sport that takes a physical toll on one's body (though less so today as fighting and hitting are gradually being taken out of the game, due to concerns over concussions, something us older fans, and I am only 40, are not too happy with, though we do get the imperative need to avoid concussions, we wish there was a better balance), but fighting through multiple painful injuries has always been a reality, and something praised. Heck, Bobby Baun helped my Toronto Maple Leafs win a Stanley Cup on a broken/fractured leg suffered during one of the games in the 1964 Stanley Cup Final, he scored the winning goal of the same game he suffered the broken leg, after sustaining the injury. Now that's what we Canadians call dedication and commitment. This is what I saw with Stroll in Bahrain.

Stroll already had some great performences - especially in 2020. Despite being considered a bad qualifier, he put his car in a 2nd row few times, pole in Turkey. Such a shane he had a lot of bad luck in a second half of the year

It maybe too soon, but I think Aston Martin is going too do very well this year. Not only did Alonso get on the podium, which is great, but Stroll considered a mid- field driver (with two f’ed up wrists) finished sixth! That car got to be great!
Good on him for sharing that social post about his recovery. A real insight into what it took
Red Balls are not happy the rumour is Lance used remote control 😅
Even if he would have come in last on this one, he definitely earned a whole new level of respect... get well soon.
Always had a positive outlook on both father and son. I wish I could have the means Lawrence has, to provide everything to my son. And lance is a solid driver with a great car and 100% fitness…. Solid 7/8th place out of 20 drivers.
Lol, solid drivers that put others in danger by having no spatial awareness and finished 11th in the 3rd fastest car 2 years ago!
He's easily bottom 5 drivers (which is saying a lot given he's been in F1 for 7 seasons now and the grid is really mediocre outside of the TOP tier drivers), he got decent pace (especially on some tracks such as Spa), but awful race-craft!
Yes this story is incredible and I give Lance the biggest props but what is also incredible is the downward spiral that this place has been in since the two greats have gone.
What I want to know is how this Karen guy still has a job...
"Take these broken wrists
And learn to race again
And be Fernando's wingman."
- Lance Stroll - Broken Wrists (Broken Wings Parody.)
always said you gotta respect the Strolls.

Chiaramente no, un buon secondo magari (anche se non è che diventi forte nel ruota ruota in un giorno).
Fernando's determined fire and drive and leadership encouraged Lance behind the wheel. Not only did he drive the whole race but held it tight up at the top. Well done Lance.
Plot twist:
He didn't break his wrist in a bicycle accident.
It was too much fapping
Many sportsmen have done very similar things. A European motocross champion I know broke his collarbone and had a massive splinter in a shin bone and was back racing 2 weeks later. Its amazing the technology that private health care has, basically welding bones back together
Video is spot on.
Dear Sir, My fellow man and I spoke about how much of a sandal (thong) Lance was and now he is more of a Croc and as we say in the west, Touché'
- Too early to say he truly is a driver , but he indeed totally changed the perception of him by others with this 1 weekend .
I am impressed.
I used to be saying that lance was pretty good and people would be treating him like he was older than he is because he joined the sport very young.
Then he had his big shunts after tire failures in tuscany and Baku, and I felt like he got scared and didn't care enough if he was 12th or 14th. But still he's a young talented guy, that can make it.
mansel drove after his terrible crash with a badly injured back, jim clark drove with his gear stick hand bleeding, nikki lauda drove with his head still bandaged from being on fire (he could hardly get his helmet on)
Its what they do
One can only imagine what he was doing to break his wrist. Professional means being available and fit as required. Numb nuts.
He has grown over the years, and I respect that. I also respect that he respects Fernado Alonso.
I was wondering why he was holding the steering wheel a little funny. Respect!!!

As for Stroll, he's not underrated!
Being decently quick is not enough in F1, you need race-craft and he has tremendously poor awareness for an F1 driver!
I used to think Stroll was a slightly better Canadian version of Mazepin (daddy’s money) but now he is a decent driver that keeps up well his his 2 time World champion Alonso
Would trust him more on a quali lap than on a road in Italian rush hour traffic
remember that he did win the f2 championship..and he drove the car..not his dad

In fairness he does deserve a F1 seat as I've said since 2021 but he is a midfield drivers. He's a bit like KMag in the way he drive's.
Usually, drivers like him last 4-5 seasons max without financial support!
He got decent pace and some skills in the rain, but awful awareness
Not really impressed with the drive tbh. It was middle of the line aided by a good car. Charles' DNF also helped rank Lance higher. However, credit where it's due, it was nice to see the hustle and grind. End of the season would shed more light on the matter.
Whoever is doing the editing should lower the music at times it’s pretty loud comparing to his voice.
The difference is that Lando is actually a top driver that justified his presence thanks to consistent tremendous performances!

The results he obtained aren't enough to survive this long in the sport on merit, the reason he made it so quickly to F1 and stayed for so long is due to nepotism, that's not even a question if you are honest!

Why did Stroll release a photo of himself in hospital? If it was you or I we would be heading straight off home to recover - absolutely no reason to stay in a hospital bed - All bandaged up with a few bruises and a hairline fracture.
All a publicity stunt, just in case Stoll could not make it the Bahrain GP - they created a story far worse than it actually was.

probs just turned force feedback down
Don't call it a comeback , I've been here for years
Nothing against Lance, while he isn't a good F1 level driver he is not a bad one either.
Was it impressive? Yes. But it was also dangerous and reckless. He clearly wasn’t fully recovered and put others at risk.

Stroll is much better then @ the start of his career. But F1 champion one day? I think not.
