Magnet Fishing at a Historic Railway Crash Site, Incredible Finds & a Surprise Encounter!

- Welcome to Adventures with Sonik This week, we take our magnet fishing adventure to a railway bridge with a tragic history - the site of a rail accident from the 1950s. As we clean up the waterways, we uncover tons of scrap metal, unique railway artifacts, and a few surprises along the way. What we pulled up left us speechless! Plus, we meet a former railway worker who shares his incredible memories of the site. Watch as we pull history from the depths and hear first-hand stories from the past. #MagnetFishing #RailwayHistory #EnvironmentalCleanup
Join me on my many adventures, cleaning the environment of all the rubbish & scrap hiding in our waterways with friends popping in to say hello, see my finds & restorations,
Visit sonikworld.co.uk for merch, news and tips and much much more
500,000 items of litter make their way into the sea from UK rivers every year, impacting on marine life The canals & rivers of England & Wales could be plastic-free in a year if every visitor picked up one piece of litter
Confronting climate change means we have to do more than change a few light bulbs, & it’s clear that current regulations aren’t cutting it, either. But what, exactly, can we do?
We can grab a bag & a magnet or grapple and go find this stuff, dispose of it responsibly making the environment better for future generations & the wildlife. The comments of support & donations keep us going but the real thanks is when we see the wildlife returning to an area we have cleaned.
We have dedicated ourselves to pulling tons of rubbish & scrap every week out of the environment

I worked for BR for 25 years as a guard, (9 years) then a driver (11 years) lastly as platform staff ( 5 years). For a chunk of that time I had a foot long piece of rail, which made an amazing anvil.
Awesome and i have 2 lengths of 2 foot long track
Wow that is the biggest pile of railwayana I have seen looks to have been very hard work well done that railway track tool is awesome would look good on a wall as a piece of wall art.😁👍
It was a crazy day and yes i agree it would look great on the wall
Hi Dave, triggering memories from my years as an electrician, the electrical box was an MEM 3 phase switch fuse. Would have a chrome handle on the front and used to isolate 3 phase machinery. Now I’ll go back to my retirement!🙂
Fantastic, thanks for the info, you are very knowledgable, happy retirement my friend 👍
My goodness look at all the stuff someone else left in the bush!
Some people are just crazy lol

It dont half get heavy at the right train bridge, was a chance encounter with the right guy lol
At 3.57 could it be a railway track switch counter.
Maybe, shame it was in the other pile i didnt think to ask him lol
I hope you don’t scrap all that railway things as people collect it and you can sell it on eBay, even track bolts
Its at Rays and i wish we had someone who was interested or the time to list it on ebay lol
