      It really is better for me this way. I started an afghan for my husband using this straight C2C method, and is quicker than the other method.

    Hi Claudetta! Could I start the pattern with a sc row with a mult. of 4 + 1? Then just begin the pattern as normal on row 2?

    When do the rows have a straight edge? Mine are offset and I am following stitch per stitch.

      That's been the trouble I've been having. It's easy to make something feminine like a shell stitch but I want one for a boy blanket. Maybe sc with straight corners but everything is set up for C2C and I feel like it doesn't even out

    When done in rows you are no longer doing C2C which is a process NOT a stitch,the stitch itself has many names. When I learned how to do this stitch many years ago it was called the slanting box stitch I’ve also heard it called the slanting box shell stitch.

    A c2c in rows is the slanted shell stitch. How would you make this into a graphghan?

      C2C is NOT a stitch. You are right, this is the Slanted Shells, aka Crazy Shells and Tilted Brick Stitch. C2C is directional technique.
