They don't wear blue uniforms that the contractor's delivery people wear. Hopefully, the delivery driver who got arrested will get paid the day's wages by the Teamsters and cover his legal bills too.
Facts from 1:32 - 1:44 Amazon is loaded with profit. Whenever I'm out delivering, we are usually delivering twice as many packages than UPS, Fed Ex, or the Post office at any particular location. Amazon has the resources to treat their employees fairly, there's no excuse.
No one should show up for work! Let’s see if the CEO’s, supervisors, and other people higher up the ladder can make those deliveries and meet deadlines! The same thing is happening all over this country with every corporation and business, even pest control companies! Constantly pushing production down the throats of workers while bitching at them!!!
From what I’ve read they do pay their employees fair wages. The people ‘striking’ - i.e. refusing to work - are apparently independent contractors or employees of contractors and are not Amazon employees.

Fact check they are not a Amazon employee, it is a private company who made a contract to Amazon to deliver the packages so being a private company they will hire people to drive and deliver packages. If they want higher pay or better benefits they should talk to that private company that hired them not to Amazon.
Amazon has to give the contract company an allowance to do so. The dsp owners can only do so much because they take on all the liabilities while amazon just makes the rules and collect the bags to maximize their profits.

They don't wear blue uniforms that the contractor's delivery people wear. Hopefully, the delivery driver who got arrested will get paid the day's wages by the Teamsters and cover his legal bills too.
Amazon workers are stronger together
Until they fire you
Not Amazon workers…
@@imrytebeehyneuUntil Amazon runs out of people willing to work for them
To be honest ups workers pick up stuff 150 plus pounds and go up and down stairs with it
Pay the workers
Facts from 1:32 - 1:44 Amazon is loaded with profit. Whenever I'm out delivering, we are usually delivering twice as many packages than UPS, Fed Ex, or the Post office at any particular location. Amazon has the resources to treat their employees fairly, there's no excuse.
Earlier today, I saw 2 Amazon vans here in Far Rockaway, NY-
No one should show up for work! Let’s see if the CEO’s, supervisors, and other people higher up the ladder can make those deliveries and meet deadlines! The same thing is happening all over this country with every corporation and business, even pest control companies! Constantly pushing production down the throats of workers while bitching at them!!!
A one stop 🛑 shop Boycott would definitely Pinch Indeed across America!!
Some of the comments are diabolical the company makes enough to keep their employees happy just pay them the money
From what I’ve read they do pay their employees fair wages. The people ‘striking’ - i.e. refusing to work - are apparently independent contractors or employees of contractors and are not Amazon employees.
I have full total respect for amazon employees workers standing up for themselves.
Just cancelled Prime membership after 10 years. Not worth it anymore.
you get packages as soon as next day, maybe 2 days later. How is it not worth it?
THE WORKERS ARE RIGHT! I SEE MORE AMAZON WORKERS OUT DRAGGING LARGE CONTAINERS AND RUNNING UP AND DOWN STAIRS THAN I DO UPS, FEDEX, OR POSTAL WORKERS ALL TOGETHER. JEFF BEZOS HAS ENOUGH MONEY! PAY THE THESE POOR PEOPLE WHO WORK SO HARD FOR AMAZON! SHAME ON JEFF!
They steal the package 📦 and pay the customer's back what they stole
omg one worker stole my package no lie last christmas
Hundreds of Amazon and fast food workers in Los Angeles California are planning not to show for work on Christmas to protest unfair working conditions.
No Arby’s for Christmas dinner ?😢
>california
>fast food workers
Lol. 20$ wages wasnt enough.
@@OHHHHUSBANT Asking more for flipping burgers or asking if I wanna pay card or cash. In what world to they live?
Well I'm not ordering nothing from Amazon my package won't get here
Good Choice!!
You want more money then go get s better job. That simple
Maaaaan I’m so glad I got out of Amazon when I did. All what the workers were saying is true. They overwork you and underpay you. I had times BEFORE peak season where I would have 180+ packages on my van. Was surprised this wasn’t from the Amazon I worked at based in Woodside, Queens.
So glad I got my gifts before the protest! Thank you for waiting
Fun fact : For every one billionaire in the U.S. there is over half a million of us.
How many people did you give a job? How many people have a job because of billionaires like elon, gates, zuckerberg?
@ you’re so close to getting the point. These “billionaires” make their billions off the labor of their workers. Without workers their companies will fail. Supply and demand economics is a two way street. FAFO
Hell I'll work for Amazon I've been out of work for 3 months. These people need a dose of reality. It's hard out here
😂😂 the only one that needs a dose of reality is you, coming from an amazon delivery driver I can tell you it’s not easy at all. There’s a reason people are protesting.
Amazon is worth $2 Trillion yet they’re so cheap not to pay their workers! $1 billion is enough to take care of everyone with full benefits!!!
These people are not Amazon employees..How would a company negotiate an employment contract with people that don't work for them
@ there’s a mix of Amazon employees in the protest. It’s a start to get the ball rolling. Flex drivers make half the earnings of what UPS AND FEDEX makes. Amazon has the worst reputation for their employees.
@@onlyinamerica4916A contractor that can only contract with Amazon and has no negotiation power with Amazon, that called a legal loophole. Your such a patriot that you dont support the American people.
@notjimmy6822 Actually Jimmy I think they should be Amazon employee's but they aren't..So again how would Amazon negotiate a contract for people they don't employ?. And why do you say such ignorant stuff?
@@onlyinamerica4916My name is not Jimmy its in the title. But since you cant read i will tell you that they are Amazon employee since Amazon does have firing power over them. And the National Labor Relations Board considers Amazon a joint employer of DSP drivers. And why do you keep saying ignorant stuff? Facts hurt your feeling?
You can't block the flow of daily activities, you can protest all you want but can't mess up everyone else's lives and money.
00:40 love how the reporter remembered who pays her and choked down the word when she almost said "strike", she then called it a "protest" as instructed. That's professional journalism in the age of oligarchs.
Fact check they are not a Amazon employee, it is a private company who made a contract to Amazon to deliver the packages so being a private company they will hire people to drive and deliver packages. If they want higher pay or better benefits they should talk to that private company that hired them not to Amazon.
Yeah wear amazon gear and drive a truck with amazon on it 😂😂😂😂 then turn around and say they don't work for the company but follow company rules 😂😂😂
Lol, you are correct, I don't see why it's so hard for them to understand this!
someone in the comments was fooled by one of those third parties companies.
Amazon has to give the contract company an allowance to do so. The dsp owners can only do so much because they take on all the liabilities while amazon just makes the rules and collect the bags to maximize their profits.
Actually a federal court has ruled that those 3rd party employee are to be considered Amazon employees.
About time these workers took a stand. Amazon is absolutely the worst company to work for especially if you are dealing with any Amazon fulfillment or distribution centers. Amazon and the Delivery Service Providers (DSP) they contract to deliver packages have been guilty of bad Labor Relations for years without any state or federal oversight.
Why don’t they get together and start an Amazon competitor and run it however they want?
I’m so sick of people bad mouthing Amazon when they don’t know what they are talking about. Amazon doesn’t employee these workers. The solution is clear. If you don’t like your job, quit and do something else. Life is unfair. Deal with it. I work my ass off and go home and go to bed.
You sound like an absolute loser. I know companies love your mindset, you’ll do anything for a paycheck 😂 you probably have bare minimum benefits too 😂
According to Amazon the folks striking are not employees working for Amazon prime.
power to the people
1:35 actually ups drivers deliver heavier stuff and more expensive stuff….its like comparing McDonald’s to fine dining 😂😂😂
USPS is corporate all of those Amazon delivery drivers are third party people that basically bought a franchise with Amazon so now their franchise owners but the franchise owners are corrupt
Just received my Amazon packages from UPS,
THANK YOU,😊
Lmfaooooo this is why the unions aren’t the same Stop them for 2 minutes then let them go 😂😂😂😂a strike used to be halt all operation until or demands are met or negotiated upon. This union is a joke
We're behind you strikers!
I’m in total support with Amazon workers I refuse to receive an Amazon delivery until they are respected as employees 😮
The delivery companies are separate companies who Amazon subcontracts to do the deliveries.
Easily Replaced Workers
Questionable
Will Jewish Asian people want these jobs
Why replace ???? shut up 😠
These aren't even Amazon employees. They're contractors
Striking is fine whatever. But blocking traffic, obstructing the ability of trucks and people to move freely, and preventing the company from bringing new workers in is ridiculous
$21 is low pay?
Protest the mayors and other blue politicians to fight against higher cost of living there
Yes it's very low... We need at least $50 a hour..
@@youdontKnowshhsLmao and what training/schooling did you do to deserve that pay?
@@hughjass8383 there are people making $12/15 per hour. You need to be grateful. Most of the year you guys are using pro and you only work a lot during season. Be grateful because $21 to 0 quick
@@youdontKnowshhs Why don't you guys move to Alabama or Mississippi where $21/hr with overtime can give you a good living wage
Jeff bezo a bozo
they are seasonal hires..... who instantly went to protest.... think about that
the start of the video even clarifies this
why are you working at amazon or UPS? If you're working there, that means you're not qualified to work in the corporate world... which means they'll hire you in a New York minute. go apply at a corporate job, entry level, like a call center or something. They've been breaking their necks to hire unqualified people over qualified people since the St Fentanyl Floyd 100% off sales of 2020.
Why don’t they quit teamsters and join Amazon officially?
You never see Tesla employees on strike bc Elon Musk put them on the street next day
😂😂😂
Damn right
Who Elon Fake Azz Musk??
I wish there was an option to tip your Amazon delivery driver once the delivery was received of course not mandatory. I know they should be getting paid more, but we all know they won’t be due to corporate greed. It’s disgusting smh
Sounds like u should of got a career instead of dropping out or doing nothing past highschool... Y'all want these zero skills jobs to pay $100k a year but y'all provide $10k worth of work
If only we shopped at retail stores again 😔
Jail the strikers, get us our packages 😡😡😡
Sad to say, their jobs will be gone to robots and drones before 2030.
We honestly need to boycott them
Said robot.
@okigi-wo5zm Sadly,it won't do any good. The USPS,UPS and FEDEX will pick up the slack if need be.
@przytulanka1979 Tell your mom that
People running around saying that will end up with a robot taking their job as karma.
Amazon is very unfair. I don’t blame you people I work there.
If you shop at stores there wouldn't be this problem 😂
I swear Amazon workers protest every year like it’s a holiday 😂
This reminds me of a basketball player signing a contract and trying to force a trade😂
I thought Amazon drivers were contractors not actual employees?
Why are they aloud to assault the driver?
The more you protest the more A.I is going to take your job
I see my old team glad to see y'all still out there!💪🏿
Plenty of people would willingly fill those jobs. Do not cave to the mob mentality of unions. 😏
Oh like the Dockworkers who got their Rightful Wage Increases?!👀
Stop being lazy and work harder
These people haven't learned from the uaw workers. Mr roboto will take their jobs and won't need more money, no health care, no sick leave, no vacation time , no breaks.
I dont see Amazon giving in.. Still to early and they still have all the leverage. Amazon pays to help people get citizenship in the United States of America. While we do need unions in America it might be late for some sectors cause of the power these conpanies got from the lobbyists and congress.
Oh yeah get the immigrants in so the wages can be reduced and the head honcho can double his Billions!!
Amazon workers "let's ruin Christmas and free Palestine"
These people don't work for Amazon they are contractors
That’s why Amazon hiring 3rd party contractors to do their deliveries so they don’t have to pay good salaries. Most of those workers don’t work for Amazon.
Oh and that’s any better! People need to be paid their worth and be able to pay their rent, food n utilities NOT Modern Day SLAVE Labor working!!
Amazon employees in the building don't want those 3rd party workers protesting outside the building. LOL
