Thanks John. Between the members of the Conolan family you have a terrific collection of historic football photographs. Thanks for posting over the years. Where did you guys live ?
Churchill Ave, we were one of the first family to move in I believe, about 1946, but our father Jack and his five brothers grew up in Bendigo (King St) and consequently were active is swimming (Bendigo Swimming Club) and football, (South Bendigo) players, coaches and committee. Uncle Len was Manager of the Muni Baths for many years. Brian is still in Bendigo, I live in Heathcote after living in Melbourne for many years.
@@mrjohnconolan2472 Thx John, Know Churchill Ave, as had a few friends live near by and King street was out of territory being White Hills lads. We were Sandhurst, of course being 'left footers' and my father Kevin was President of the BFL for a few years. I will make a clip eventually on the 3 older footy teams. So much history btw south, hurst and the borough. Cheers Jack
Im enjoying these thank you! Do you have any mentions at all on Woodvale or Sydney Flat as it was previously named. Or Harry Boyle? OR the Australia store and hotel owned by Daniel Boyle in Sydney Flat around 1860-90
The Lost Bendigo, Lost Axedale and Lost Eaglehawk Facebook sites are a good place to look. All Facebook sites have a really good search function so try that. I have seen Sydney flat (now Woodvale) mentioned quite a bit..
Thank you, very enjoyable. Well done for the series.
