I love such gospel centered music that recognizes that for the believer, everything that happens, God has ordained because He is lovingly and sovereignly in control. Just read Psalm 44 and verse 17 and 19, talk about an Israel that hasn't forsaken God and yet is going through times of defeat and suffering and shame. And the Psalmist points to God and having ordained this and asks Him to deliver them. And this contrary to a prosperity gospel where christians are not supposed to experience suffering, and if they do surely, it's because they have sinned. Thank God for the gospel and for biblical truth that allows us to recognize, that we will be tried, we will experience suffering and yet in it all, our God is good, He reigns and hasn't forgotten us even when it looks like He has
I remember when he came to my church in Dubai for his conference and he sing it for us what a wonderful hymn and what a great men he's I was lucky to met him in person but the reason behind this song is giving hope to everyone tnx matt
I was first exposed to this song at my church, Edgewood Community Church, in Fond du Lac, Wi. I took a copy of the words home with me because it ministers to me so much. God bless you 😉 for putting it out there.
I was in a crossroads in my life when I first heard this song in the Together for the Gospel Live IV album. The beautiful intro was what grabbed my attention. The more I listened to the hymn, the more I was comforted to know that everything is in God’s hands. Praise God that He gave you inspiration to set this powerful yet virtually unheard hymn to a wonderful, recognizable tune.
Praise God for these blessed hymns that lead us to worship God according to His word. Lord, thank you that you are faithful to preserve us, to teach us, and to show us that what you ordain is right, good, and will lead us home to You soon!

This is my favorite hymn text! I love the original hymn tune, but I think this wonderful reset will get this amazing text to many more hearts.
“He holds me that I shall not fall” ❤️
