    And to keep all of that lymph fluid moving, you have to move, becauae the lymph system relies on muscle movement to "pump" the fluid. That is also why when you are sick in bed you get that achy feeling, from stagnant lymph fluid. Moving around as much as you are able and as often as you can, especially when sick, makes a difference. Also, drinking plenty of plain water, staying hydrated, is important for lymph health.

    Can testify. I got sick a lot starting when I was a kid. It always started with swollen lymph nodes in my neck and a sore throat and would progress to fevers and swollen lymph nodes all over my body. I became a health and fitness freak when I was 12-13 because of it but I struggled with those infections till my late 20s when I cut out all sugar and carbs.

    • @ItsJustSoSweet
      @ItsJustSoSweet Місяць тому +1

      You don’t have to cut out sugar and carbs but process or bioengineer (GMO’s) most foods containing sugar also have high fructose corn syrup and other chemicals that are banned in most countries line red #40. You can look at a box of cereal that you may think is healthy and the top ingredient is not only High fructose corn syrup but then corn syrup and then sugar. Raw cane sugar is beneficial as well as carbs but in moderation. Our bodies where not made to consume the processed and ultra processed food generally what’s all you see in grocery stores as well and non organic meats, poultry and fish that are pumped with hormones and antibiotics that are being passed on to those consuming it and the same goes for produce that has been sprayed with herbicides (glyphosate) pesticides and other preserving chemicals to increase shelf life in nearly everything. I saw apples the other day that had resin lacquer on it to give it more color, shine and not to eat as a normal apple should. This is what Americans are eating. We have something called GRAS ingredients. It stands for Generally Regarded As Safe. This allows companies to create consumable products and get around loopholes that would make it not for human consumption. If you look up those chemicals that are generally regarded as safe which is such a ridiculous this because “generally” is not “absolutely” safe, majority of those chemicals are too banned in most other countries and see how many are carcinogens. It’s scary that the US government allows this to happen or that no one regulates the FDA to what is really safe to consume as other countries refuse to allow these chemicals and they are the same food companies just altering their recipes without these poisons. People are suffering from so many illnesses that they take medications to just subdue the illness not cure it and children and adults are suffering more now than ever in history from more mental health issues (1 in 5 boys born, are on the autism spectrum and you do not see these type of scary statistics elsewhere) and we don’t bat our eyes that the food being consumed has so many harmful chemicals that if you look at their properties you would be mind boggled how they are allowed to put this in our food. Go to Europe, like Italy or Spain for 2 weeks and walk around eating 2x as much as you do here and I bet by the end of that 2weeks you will feel happier, more energized, and lose weight despite increasing what you are consuming.

      @@ItsJustSoSweet Jesus I’m not reading all of that, but I cut out all sugar and carbs over 20 years ago and it was great for me and from a brief skim of what you wrote it looks like all info I knew years ago. I wouldn’t touch processed foods.

    • @ItsJustSoSweet
      @ItsJustSoSweet Місяць тому

      @@ava.artemis but your body needs carbs and sugar so you didn’t read anything and I was explaining GRAS ingredients. You are going to literally state that you do not buy anything from a grocery store, go out to dinner at restaurants, never grabbed something at a convenience store or a deli? I call BS

    • @ava.artemis
      @ava.artemis Місяць тому

      @@ItsJustSoSweet The body does not need carbs from outside sources because of gluconeogenesis. 🙄 You know what I mean, dude. I buy and eat foods in the most whole forms we can buy them, meaning single ingredient items, fresh meat, eggs and vegetables and no I don’t eat at restaurants unless there’s some event I can’t get out of, which are very few and far between. And no I never grab things at convenience stores or delis. I bring food with me or go without. Because of the way I eat my blood sugar is totally stable so I can go easily 24 hours without getting hungry or low energy.

    • @perregrine
      @perregrine Місяць тому

      Beyond natural variation, certain infections and systemic diseases can apparently cause lymph nodes to increase in numbers, not just size. How often people get sick is an incredibly complicated question and it's difficult to isolate each factor to study it properly but I think it's reasonable to say that people who have or develop a higher capacity for lymphatic drainage will see certain benefits when they have an infection such as less swelling. There would also be statistical implications for cancer but it's hard to say if there would be a net gain or a net loss in any comparison and the research is mostly focused on the numbers in people who are already sick.

    My lymph nodes around gallbladder and liver were removed during cholesystectomy open surgery as they suspected adenocarcinoma as I had mass in gallbladder. Liver resection was also done as part of the mass grew from gallbladder into liver. Fortunately it was not cancer. Now I'm wondering, what effect will the lymph removal of those lymphs have on my immune health? Do I now have defective lymph system there around liver?
