One of the best reviews ive seen, i want the stainless steel one, but dont like those sort of straps, because they pull my arm hairs out, so nice to see how easy it is to change the strap.
Why do you want the stainless steel one if they don't like the straps? Aren't they like 1.5 times more expensive? It is almost identical to the silver one except for the matte finish and slightly bulkier lugs. Definitely not worth paying a higher price just to go ahead and swap the strap.
Thanks for the video. You mentioned body glucose monitoring. Is that upgrade likely to be rolled out via a software upgrade to the GT4 or more likely to be introduced with future versions of the GT series? Thanks.

Huawei is doing it big with this one. I love the design change. Most companies are just too afraaid to try new things and most of us will appreciate the risk and let's be honest dive on the risk as well. Huawei can get my money! Cheers brother.
Huawei has good hardware, but they have had the same software features for years.
I need better features. Otherwise, I'm better off with the Huwaei Watch Fit as the difference is minimal.
Do you know the GPS battey last with continiously tracking?

They do a fitness watch with a square face that does blood pressure via a special watch strap, its about £300 on their webpage
Just purchased huawei watch gt 4 online..can't wait for it to arrive..was using a galaxy watch 4 unfortunately it died when i was swimming in the pool and the battery life sucks..

I still love my Huawei GT 2 Pro. No need to upgrade. 3 Years of daily wear and it still looks new. Not a scratch, but it's a bit generous in the step count.. Little support has been given to it by Huawei is the downside.

How does it track Calorie intake? Can it somehow tell what you've consumed from wearing it, or do you have to manually input your food intake (like on MyFitnessPal?)
from what i've seen from other reviews, u can either manually input it, or by taking a photo of ur food and if its recognised it'll list the calories etc and do the math for u

If we can only have Spotify, youtube music, google messages and google maps on this. It doesn't need to run wear OS, just have those apps available in Huawei watches would be great but we all know that it is impossible today.
If they opened up the operating system to allow homebrew devs to create apps I reckon something could happen.

The GT series dosnt have esim, you need a Watch 4 or watch 4 PRO for that.

I had the GT2 pro with so many free watch faces but i recently got the GT4 watch and now this option is gone, when i go to the app on my phone and check the watch faces nothing comes up, I can only see the paid faces and there isnt an option for free, why is this? how can it be fixed?

I have tried all kinds of smart watches from all major brands for eight years. Due to the much stronger charge storage in the GT series and the lighter Van, I confidently say that it is the most economical smart watch of this series.
How much memory for music they have? Because i cant fint it anywhere :( Old ones have 4GB...

I am just curious how did you get soccer (football) sport mode and others. I have only 20 sport modes and updated watch gt4. ( bought in UK from Currys) Couldn't find it anywhere, neither in the watch or in the health app on phone.
press on the upper button, then on the orange running man app. Then scroll down to the second last menu iten: It is called customized or user defined and after that press on the "plus" button. Here you will find many type of sports
I wish the NFC could work in Europe.From what I read,it's only available in Asia.I bought it with discount,about 170 euros.In that price,there's no competition.Previously I had for 2 years the GT 3 Pro, but I wanted a more sport look a like watch.I don't regret,the lack of ECG and sapphire glass/titatanium built.

I believe that If they launched "google wallet" , then hwauei will do some updates on the watch so we can use "google wallet".

I have got gt3 pro as well. I think you should go with gt 4 if you can get one. It's slitlghy better than gt 3 pro.
Gt3 pro has a titanium body and sapphire glass. I wouldn't switch
What about the brightness,it doesn’t look worth upgrading my gt3.only thing that could be better is the screen in bright sunlight.
Stay with the GT 3 pro. Better quality and accuracy.

I do have one question, i have a first gen Samsung watch, and looking at upgrading to the Huawei GT 4 around christmas time, will most of the stuff work on a samsung phone, i know its android compatible, but some manufacturers lock things down when not used with their phones, and while i like Huawei phones, they are a pain to get in the UK
I have the GT Runner paired to my GalaxyS20FE. I don’t really use much of the smart functionality as I am sports-focused. But it works fine with the phone, no problems seen. I think the one thing that doesn’t work on my Samsung is the voice assistant (called Celia or something) which I think only works with a Huawei phone. Heart rate accuracy and battery life endurance are my non-negotiables. I think Samsung watches are better I.t.o. Smart functionality, but my old GalaxyGear S2 watch (and all its successors) seem to have shockingly bad battery life. I’m getting 9 to 10 days of battery life including gym workouts, constant heart rate monitoring and SpO2 turned on (but I don’t use GPS). So it works really well in my use case. You will find it has a very large selection of watch faces, but of course its App Store cannot compete with that of the Google system. Which is fine for me as I’m trying to de-Google my life ; )

I wonder if I could get some help as iv been going round and round in circles trying to find the answer to. At 6:35 in the video we can see the everyday heart-rate screen on the watch and it shows 150 BPM on the right side,on my new GT4 and my previous gt3 and gt3 SE my heart-rate would never go above 150 on the watch (but it was 178 on chest strap) can someone tell me why this would happen,it is definitely no coincidence as it happens on 3 different model of watches and I never had this issue on my older gt2 ..And yes I wear the watch correctly and have no obstructions between watch and skin Iv also reboot and factory reset many times.If someone could help me I would be hugely grateful because of this reason I sold my both gt3 models and I really don't want the same problem with my GT4 as I really like it a lot ...HELP 😩

There's not that many right now. You have to do it via Huawei health app
@@WhatGear Isn't that what he says? Because you can only use apps that are standard in the Huawei Health app. The app gallery app on the phone is then useless.

My problem with Huawei GT3 Pro and the GT Runner was, that the media control always disappear when not used for a short time (30 sec - 1 min) or when the display turns off.
When I was operated my media player on the phone from the watch, this was so annoying with Huawei Watch.
Every time when I wanted to switch the track, I had to go to the menu and select the media control menu, each time I like to use it, because after short time when I raised my hand the dial was coming back at the display.
No other Smartwatch here (Apple Watch, TicWatch Pro or Oppo Watch) have the same weird behavior, only the Huawei.
Is the behavior the same with the media control on the new Huawei Watch 4 Pro?

Usually they release a pro version with better material some months later. It was the case for the gt2 and GT3
I think there’s a very good chance we’ll see a GT4 Pro emerging in a few months, which is not the same watch as the Watch 4 Pro.

What I don't like about this watch is the size. 46mm is not for every wrist
You'll be surprised bro. I have somewhat small wrists, have the gt3 pro but it really is fine. Once you get used to it, you'll find that it's not big at all. It's slimness makes it sit flash on your wrist thereby making it look and feel smaller.
Please confirm if this Connects with strava? They cancelled the connectivity during GT2

Yes, you can. They’ve upgraded the connection speed also. So it should be better than ever. Also the built in speaker on the 46mm is really loud

Saddly there is no option to lock buttons. Soooo freeking many times i accidentally pressed that while on workout.. and all the time needed just stop my workout and press resume. It's soo annoying
