Due to the acrimonious separation of the three members of TVXQ and SM, they were even blacklisted and hence were unable to appear on Korean public broadcasting stations for a long time (14 years). Very sad case in an entertaiment industry. But many things have began to shift in the industry due to that case. Jae has been active in different fields - in art and in business - but only recently has began to appear more in general public eye again. This man is increadibly strong, has bubbly personality also haha. He is currently a singer, songwriter, actor, director and businessmen. He has recently established his own entertainment agency called iNKODE.
Wow that's a lot of history. We're glad to see that he seems happy with where he's at today. That makes his talk about his thoughts on still being in the industry and keeping it healthy even more important.

You guys should watch the Idol Radio episode with Jaejoong being interviewed by Yunho and Hongjoong. Yunho was just... mhmmmm. Hehe. As a former idol artist, Jaejoong's first and most loved passion is singing. But apart from systematic obstacles [aka the ban], the reason he's been a bit less in the mainstream is because his genre of music has more of a rock element which in recent years has become more popular in Korea with the younger crowd but when he started his solo career, it really wasn't. So, his music has been more popular abroad than in Korea. Not gonna lie, if you google him, you'll probably find a lot about the blacklist ban, idol contract reform, and the demise of one his former members... and not just him but a lot of his former colleagues as well. This man has endured a lot of loss in the last decade. Subsequently, he went from being a social butterfly to ... well ... something less than that. It's only recently, as things have gotten better after covid that he's come out a bit more and tried new things .... like a starting JaeFriends to meet new people in Korea because he's lived mostly in Japan over the last couple of years, and attempting to join music festivals in Korea. Anyway, that's probably too long of a rant but just in case you were curious. ^^
