Why not put her consciousness in another body to continue the triangle and get back with Stefan and in the last ep when Nina was able to come back, have her wake up and be with Stefan in her own body? They are soul mates dammit. The idea of Stefan loving Caroline forever (great friends but no chemistry between then) was just wrong. Damon and Elena had chemistry but she and Stefan were meant to be. IMO Stelena always had more chemistry. Even in the finale, there was 10 times more chemistry between Elena and Stefan than with Damon and Elena. Ian didn't even kiss Nina -- he kissed her chin and she kissed above his lips. If Ian wouldn't kiss Nina because she's his ex and he's married now, then he needs to quit acting. How many times did Paul kiss Nina and Nina kiss Paul in the series while Nina was dating Ian and Paul was dating/married to Torrey. They were professional. Not only that, their chemistry was off the charts and they truly looked in love onscreen. I was never a Delena fan. I loved Ian as the bad Damon. And when Ian botched up the happily-ever-after Delena ending, not only did I laugh, but I lost all respect for Ian as an actor.

The ending their characters and we deserved. Stephan and Elena both just wanted their normal human lives and the "history" within the show makes them soulmates already. Once I learned the ending I just stopped watching the show because it broke my heart for these characters.

Still think we should've gotten Stelena and Bamon as endgame. I know I quit watching the show I think after season 5 (because of a lot of reasons; mostly I didn't like where the writing was taking the characters... and I was like the only person left that liked Elena and I couldn't deal with being treated like shit by the fandom at the time) but I still kept up with the show, especially whenever Stelena or Bamon were involved (as well as watching the series finale even though I was kinda lost as hell). I'm still confused as to why the never made Stelena endgame; it practically was set in stone after season 3 and I was pretty sure Delena was going to be a brief thing that ended but apparently I was completely wrong (also, maybe I shouldn't have held onto hope that they would at least kinda stick to the books with Stelena endgame and hints of Bamon being endgame).
This is beyond beautiful. Stefan and Elena should have stayed together and should have been endgame. They were THE couple in The Vampire Diaries. To me, they were the only thing that made the show worth watching. When they broke up in season 4, though, I couldn’t watch the show any further. The creators RUINED it starting with season 4. Here are a few things that ruined the show. 1. Stefan and Elena break up. 2. Damon and Elena become a couple. 3. Stefan and Caroline fall in love, get engaged, and then married. 4. Stefan dies. What the heck were the creators thinking? The only reason Damon and Elena became a couple, by the way, is the actors who played them dated in real life. I mean, what is up with that. They should have kept it like the book series. Just saying.

Other couples I love in the series are Klaus and Caroline (should have been together), Enzo and Bonnie, Jeremy and Anna, Alaric and Jenna, Matt and Rebekka, and Damon and Katherine ( even though I hate Damon and Katherine completely, I honestly love seeing them together and wish they were a couple).I can’t think of any other couples though. Stefan, who has the purest heart out of any character I've seen on any show, he might have dark times, (ripper times) but he's not that person in his dark times, he's not his real self because Stefan is GOOD ! even without Elena he IS good, Elena inspired him to have hope, to hold on, to fight, to feel, she made him happy, she made him feel human again ! And cuz of all this and more, I don't know how I can ever get over these two ! They are soulmates!

The ending their characters and we deserved. Stephan and Elena both just wanted their normal human lives and the "history" within the show makes them soulmates already. Once I learned the ending I just stopped watching the show because it broke my heart for these characters.

Still think we should've gotten Stelena and Bamon as endgame. I know I quit watching the show I think after season 5 (because of a lot of reasons; mostly I didn't like where the writing was taking the characters... and I was like the only person left that liked Elena and I couldn't deal with being treated like shit by the fandom at the time) but I still kept up with the show, especially whenever Stelena or Bamon were involved (as well as watching the series finale even though I was kinda lost as hell). I'm still confused as to why the never made Stelena endgame; it practically was set in stone after season 3 and I was pretty sure Delena was going to be a brief thing that ended but apparently I was completely wrong (also, maybe I shouldn't have held onto hope that they would at least kinda stick to the books with Stelena endgame and hints of Bamon being endgame).
This is beyond beautiful. Stefan and Elena should have stayed together and should have been endgame. They were THE couple in The Vampire Diaries. To me, they were the only thing that made the show worth watching. When they broke up in season 4, though, I couldn’t watch the show any further. The creators RUINED it starting with season 4. Here are a few things that ruined the show. 1. Stefan and Elena break up. 2. Damon and Elena become a couple. 3. Stefan and Caroline fall in love, get engaged, and then married. 4. Stefan dies. What the heck were the creators thinking? The only reason Damon and Elena became a couple, by the way, is the actors who played them dated in real life. I mean, what is up with that. They should have kept it like the book series. Just saying.
Eristine Forever everything you said is true! I stopped watching after season 4 as well. At first I loved delena but always had a soft spot for Stefan. Than my opinion changed when I rewatched the show and realized that really all delena had was a lustful/toxic relationship. While Stefan and Elena had a pure/selfless relationship. Smh, they were the true couple of this show. Julie plec ruined this show, by giving into fans. I absolutely hated Caroline and stefan together. I never was really a fan of Caroline to begin with, but fell in love with her relationship with Tyler. Of course they broke up because of klaus. Than she moves onto Stefan to only end up with klaus!? To me that ending for Stefan, who was always selfless for everyone, was absolutely disgraceful.
Cassi Partipilo stefan and Elena were and are the best couple in the series. Other couples I love in the series are Klaus and Caroline (should have been together), Enzo and Bonnie, Jeremy and Anna, Alaric and Jenna, Matt and Rebekka, and Damon and Katherine ( even though I hate Damon and Katherine completely, I honestly love seeing them together and wish they were a couple).I can’t think of any other couples though. If you know of any others, please, help me out by writing them down.
