hope year 7 has been going well! I just started year 9 and it's been okay. You might get picked on a bit but just ignore them all because I guarantee you that all of the older year groups are super immature when you actually see what they're like in classes etc. And don't worry about assessments or grades. The highest grade is a 9 but in year 7 they don't let you get higher than like a 2-3 so if you're getting 2s you should be pleased since I remember people in my class were literally getting 0e (grade 0 emerging) but as you get older even if your standard of work is the same as year 7 you won't be getting under 2s. You start the GCSE course in year 9 but only foundation level so don't worry about revision until year 10 (revision is obviously helpful but it's just not that needed). Hope that information benefited you a little and good luck!

I cried when my son left primary school we went to build a bear and he done a voice message in 1 for the headteacher.head said to me a few yrs later I miss seeing you in your spot in the playground with your cup of tea.unitentional stood with my friends in morning and afternoon.i miss the days of him there.he is all grown up now and left school and college
As going into year 4 I was full of nerves and emotions but if anyone feels like that going into any year your teachers will make sure it is fun and make sure you find it amazing❤❤

As a year 7 going into year 8 high school is so fun! You’ll make tons of new friends very easily and all the teachers are nice! Just make the most of year 7 it goes so quick X

good luck in year 8! I just finished it and it was pretty chaotic but fun. Year 9 has been fun and it's when you start the GCSE course (only foundation level though). I'm sure you aren't stressed but even so, year 8 is an easy year. The work level is basically the same as year 7 but you can achieve 4s and 5s in subjects like maths and science because in your assessments they will include a few GCSE questions but only a few. I believe you do a few more assessments than you would in year 7 but they don't really require revising so just focus on your friends tbh and just try not to talk in lessons because you'd be surprised with the difference in completed work. Also art might be a bit boring. I love art and it is my favourite subject by a mile, but we did lots of clay sculpting and you aren't given lots of freedom. They also make you do artist research for practice because you need to include artist research when you're doing art GCSE for coursework which is so boring because you have to do collages. Hope this helped!
Hi Holly, I remember my last day of primary two years ago. I’m going in to year 9 in September. I loved years 7 and 8. My advice for year 7 is not to be too scared.
Can you film camping for two weeks until Logan I love Logan so much he’s so funny and I love Holly and Olivia too, but on video for my Vo give me a shout

I'm going into year 11 in September so I was in yr 7 when we left school early due to covid, but the time I did spend there was honestly so fun it was about making memories and having fun

Aw thank you, it’s taken a few years to figure out what works for us. If he goes straight to bed the kids are too loud for him to sleep. Works best that he helps get us out of the house quickly 😂🙌🏻

Ha ha yes we do! It was very emotional. We went to our local playground for a huge picnic with all her friends and they all finished signing each others shirts. There were a lot of tears 😭

Awww this video was so cute and precious Holly has grown sooo much! I hope she has the best last day of year 6! Good luck to her for her fist day of secondary school and her new school! I love her hairstyle and leavers shirt. I remember my last day and I cried at the end of the day. My leavers day activities and graduation ceremony certificates and perfomances was sooo fun but the last day was so sad as it was our last day. It was memorable and everything, I didn't want to leave. But at least I will still see the school as my brother goes to my old primary school and my other brother will go next year if it gets chosen. Just make most of the years, make most of year 7,8 and 9 as then it will be gcse's. I am going to be in year 8 next year. I hope you find around the school ok and like your teachers and classes. This made my main go back to my leavers day. I hope Holly has all the success and everything and her goals and dreams come true! She has grown so much. Did your area had to do the 11+? Year 7 will be amazing and it will probs be one of the best years in secondary school I hope and know you will make lots of new friends and have a great time! Our leavers party we had 3 parties, we had on Thursday we went to adventure island only our class for the WHOLE DAY and on Wednesday we had bouncy castle and on the same with Friday bouncy castle but with the school and there were games to win 🥳🙃
I am currently in my first year at secondary like holly and I know what it’s like to be nervous because I was absolutely terrified to move up but now I’m just over halfway through the year and I feel a lot better my school gave me loads of support and make sure I’m safe. They’ve told me to go to our support room if I need to or take a break outside or go to our year office
