You can't use it for too long without feeling sick but it's neat for short periods. Your phone also gets really hot in it so that's another reason not to use it for long at once. It's cheap though and worth it to mess around with here and there. You can get an app to take 360 degree photos that you take by slowly turning around where you stand. Also probably the best part besides these videos is using Google Street View where you can go around the world in Street View VR :D

This one is, in fact, one of the VERY precious few 360° videos doing the rounds that are true Virtual Reality in both the visual and aural senses of the term -despite the obvious lack of head tilt and autonomous movement of the viewer inside the scene- because it's ACTUALLY stereoscopic. Just pause the movie in VR mode but without using a headset exactly at the 1 minute mark and look carefully at the guy's hands in the close foreground. Keep the phone steady with the right hand of the guy in the center and compare the image from each feed, right and left, and you'll see that those are actually two different images captured from two different POV at eye separation distance. I share your disdain at the current trend of labelling spherical projection movies from mono sources as actual VR -99,9% of "360 vr" movies on youtube or more, indeed, fall into that category- but this one? No way, this one is truly 360, high res stereoscopic bliss, even if you don't like the theme. To each his own.
Oscar Jimenez 360 videos are great. I have nothing against them. Except that they are not VR. 360 video clearly tells that it is a video that has 360 degrees. Stereo or not. VR tells you that it is computer generated image that makes you feel you are there via headset and/or controller. Coining them both VR gives too much of an expectation to 360 video and an understatement of actual VR.

And even considering the best experiences that home VR has to offer right now, with demos like Dinosaur Island running on top-of-the-range rigs we're still limited in the sense that we're relying on only two senses, sight and hearing, out of five. Many elitists would argue that even the best of the best that we have now in the market (and even what isn't yet) can't be deemed true "virtual reality" based on that. I had to manually set the resolution when watching on my iphone. The Auto selection was unwatchable. I experienced no delays or stops at 1440 (full HD resolution).
