If there is a game that can truly make you feel like you're earth's only hope, it is this game. Man, the music, the mission briefings, the gameplay, the ending and even the the pause screen when you press ESC. Just amazing.
When I first played this game I thought it was *KEEP THE CHANGE* instead of *CLOAK ENGAGED*. So I payed a little attention and then finally understood it....
more then a simple shooter,it's a story driven narrative game and i do like it: trying to defeat the aliens while at the same time having the suits creators try to take you out XD. One man vs the world =P!
I really like the shots that close in on the cells of the body being enhanced as each ability of the Nanosuit is activated. Things like that add a lot of context to how things work, and it's a cool visual to boot.
Eh, the games do seem to have made a shift since the first game. Seems that they sorta dashed the idea of an open world for one reason or another, which made stuff a bit more restrictive. As for the intro, personally, it woulda felt better to at least have a thrilling intro, perhaps to show off a few new features or what have you, even for old-times sake.
"Open World" as in you're free to explore most of the map and approach shit your own way. Literally had a point where I trecked all the way through a swamp and back, only to realize that my sense of direction had been guiding me in the wrong direction to begin with :P, but that was quickly righted with a little reloading of a save.
You mean a desktop? HAHAHAHAHA... oh... Dude, you'd be much better off building your own. You can get one of the best graphics cards on the market for a fraction of the price of any alienware model. It's not as hard as it might sound. Buying Alienware for a desktop is like throwing half your money away.
It sends a shiver down my spine every single time I watch it.....mind blowing stuff and the imagination of the people who came up with this is beyond words

whoever says that graphics don't matter is lying out their ass. Other elements like immersive gameplay, powerful story line or good writing are important too but graphics always factor in.
That might be but I don't think there would be any CELL left in the city. Remember how one of the last missions of the game, I think it's the one where you go to meet with the Marine's C.O and begin evacuating civilians and the marines have CELL's soldiers in cells. So they were arrested or went into hiding
Wrong. The person in the Nano Suit in the video featured above is, in fact, Prophet, as he makes his way to the harbor to meet up with the Marines who are supposed to help him rescue Gould. It is shortly after this opening intro scene ends that Prophet comes across a dying Alcatraz at the harbor. Source: played the game, paid attention. Also, I have numerous friends who work in development at Crytek.
That's what that Helicopter gets for following him around. Take that!! Everytime I see the part where Prophet runs towards the tank and the camera pans outwards I always think when he jumps on the tank it's gonna slam nose first into the ground. Because THAT is how bad assed that suit is
Gonna buy it after Christmas. Would be buying it now if my parents didn't make me wait after Christmas. I love Sci-Fi games and movies. I have bought and beaten all the Halo games, so my Friend at school Invited me over to his house, we played the game, and I LOVED it! Graphics, gameplay, sound, all FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!! Crysis 4ever
I totally agree with you HOWEVER, do note that the orginal crysis was ported to the PS3, and 360 using CE3, and it supposedly "runs". Honestly I have no idea how well, but long story short, the CE3 can handle those aliens on the console, so its not a technical limit, rather a designer limit, as they couldn't come up with anything better, so they settled for something easier.

Actually just watching the video you can tell that it's Prophet. You don't see any Ceph, which Alcatraz saw a lot of. And Prophet is more sure of himself, more in charge of himself and the suit's abilities. Where he's going from one thing to another without stopping, Alcatraz wouldn't be doing that, he only had the suit for a short period of time he had barely grasped what the suit was capable of doing
The scenes like this one are not Generated on your GPU like the gameplay is. It's the same principle as how you can watch this on a phone. @@King_ShadowX_X well, I can agree upon the story getting abit turnaround but There is no new suit coming and at this point nanosuit 2.0 is the most puissant thing ever to be formulated. Crysis deserves a movie

This is the definition of badass game.

@Darkness Believer yes
2023
Too bad Crysis 3 didn't have an intro like this ;-;
It wasn't a bad intro on Crysis 3. James Meredith sounds like the hardened Morgan Freeman and I found the C3 intro aesthetic..
I think it had a purpose... everyone knew what nanosuit is capable of so they just made, imo, whole better and new intro

They don’t do game intros like this anymore. Hans Zimmer needs his own video game music studio. Just drums and beats. mw2 is a master class as well.
this song plays when you wake up and realize that its your birthday and you feel invincible
it taken me years to play the second one (After doing the first) and this intro was just real badass
