Thank you for your good content. Much appreciated. Let me add three more issues that will get you in trouble in South Africa: 1) Don't come to South Africa to do crime. South Africans are fed-up with the high crime rates in this country and they get more angry and retaliate when foreigners come to SA for criminal activities. 2) Don't come to SA illegally. Make sure as a foreigner that you have the correct documentation and that you followed the correct procedures to obtain your documents. 3) South Africa is constitutional democracy with the most progressive constitution in the world. It's important to respect the laws of the country and abide by it and you will be loved in this country.
4) Definitely refrain from calling locals "lazy"...It won't go down well. It is also disrespectful to insult people while you are a guest in their country
You are correct, imagine expecting South Africans to ajust to over 100 foreign cultures in their own country. If that expectation is not cultural schizophrenia I don't know what to call it.
You are sooo pretty, great video and I hope people will listen and follow what you just said because it will help them survive SA, like you said South Africa is not for everyone people come to this country wanting to control and break the law and expect South Africans to be ok with that. My point is, everything you said its true and I hope we get more foreigners like you, who are open minded and very smart. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Good video. Loving dramatic situations, depends on the type of people you interact with. There are levels in South Africa, just like in any other country. Choose wisely where you step.
I think you should also add if people have no skills or have low level skills please stay in your country coz our unemployment rate is high as it is already. So when people come here with no family support system to fall back on and they can't find jobs they resort to crime and I will tell you for free we are tired and have no more patience for immigrants who come to commit crime in our country coz we realised our children will have no home to enjoy at this rate. One thing we pride ourselves in as South Africans we will tell you the truth whether you like it or not so please don't be afraid to tell people that when they come here they must stop "shining their eyes" and abide by the laws. People generally mind their business in this country maybe because you were a student so young people are still open to forming new relationships but also we are a very friendly nation. If we are standing next to each other in a queue we start talking to each other, maybe someone might end up asking you your name but only because they want to address you properly as the conversation progresses but it doesn't mean they want to know your business, it's trying to while away time, that's why you will find a long queue and people not complaining coz they talk to each other.

Nice content. I think that’s why most foreigners find it hard to blend with SA. In SA, there are protocols for approval of everything, you can’t just take short cuts. I think that’s why many foreigners think we are xenophobic, it’s not xenophobic, it’s our immigration laws and legal system and requirements to keep track in an orderly manner. I can see in Nigeria or most African countries ppl are used to cutting corners.
There is no Xenophobia in South Africa, where have you ever heard of a South African hating a legal foreign national that follows the law? I've never heard of such
But even the legal foreign national's number should be limited now...this people should give us space and go fix their own countries and stop fighting for staying in SA mxm
South Africans mind their business and a lot of Nigerian UA-camrs say this a lot.. if anything they always say in Nigeria it’s where people don’t mind their business 😂
This is the problem with Nigerians, the good ones never call out the bad apples so this is why we are not fond of you guys as well as Zim. If someone is engaging in illegal activity condemn them instead of turning a blind eye.
I strongly agree with you, If you come in South Africa and don't know what you want or you have lost your moral campus, this country will destroy you. It is beautiful and nice. I have seen many married foreign men who began chasing girls when they got here and abandoned their families. So always remember what you came to do in South Africa, If you came for business, you are welcome to run your business and you will flourish like other foreigners. If you become a problem, we will not welcome you. Do not let South Africa change your personality or lifestyle, the good thing about South Africa is that it is diverse, you will meet people who are like you and others who are the total opposite of you. Do not try to change people or teach them your morals.
The only problem we have in South Africa is people who come in illegally, traffickers and drug dealers... etc from other countries while we have our own trouble makers, not to mention the nyash shakers. Nigeria and other African should know that we very welcoming as South Africans but we can only tolerate so much to a certain extent. We have load shedding to deal with and corruption, don't add to that equation.
80% of South Africans are indigenous to this land and, though the African cultures may differ here and there , they're all much related. Colonialism tried to divide us just like elsewhere in Africa, but they failed.
In South Africa if you embrace the locals, add value to their lives and never do any crime they will love you as their own. Any foreign people that consistently brake any of these principles will suffer in South Africa. We also observe the same principles when we relocate and find ourselves amongst different tribes, if you don't act right you will suffer the wrath even if it's your country. In order to embrace the locals you can learn one of the African languages and learn their mannerisms. Adding value: Have a skill that we need, pay your taxes, keep the money in the country. If you run a store please employ South Africans if you employ only your countrymen you will have trouble. Export and not just Import as imports reduce the GDP of the country. And never ever look down on the locals, they detest that to the fullest. This is where some of the African brothers get it wrong. If you hear a South African (white or black) saying South African are lazy please don't repeat that, because it will sound different as a non South African. I myself have heard a couple of our African foreign brothers in the country make this mistake and I can assure you it felt different. (This stresses your point about being non judgmental) Never do any crime : Unfortunately if your countrymen are always coming up in the news as committing crimes, this will also be associated with you until you prove yourself different as an individual. However what causes resentment among some of the locals in the country is the influx of poor undocumented foreigners as they compete for employment opportunities with poor South Africans. Since they are desperate when they enter the country and will work for any salary, they get manipulated by unscrupulous employers as they know that the undocumented will never report them to the authorities. This results in massive employment of the undocumented and very little opportunities for poor South Africans who happen to be black as well. I have seen complete areas employ only foreigners especially in Joburg. This creates massive resentment among poor South African as the poor foreigners become the face of the missed opportunities. Therefore, this Xenophobic problem is due to failure or non existence of government policies to ensure that this doesn't happen. Otherwise South Africans are completely welcoming of any foreign people that respects us whether black or white, African or not.
