One of the best sporting events I ever went to. Crandon Park is beautiful. I am not going to some parking lot by a football stadium.

No idea why Crandon Park needs to be ditched. Always looked like an amazing facility

sdstewart87 the facility was falling into disarray and the family wouldn’t allow more stadiums. It is not like they wanted to leave. The atp tried very hard to remain there.

Very terrible. They won't regret it, because they are retarded.

The people who own it are absolute idiots. The ATP and WTA wanted to stay and redo the entire facility because it was getting old run down. There plans were absolutely beautiful and had 3 main show court stadiums. However the owners of it said no. Here they have a chance to compete with Indian Wells (actually even be better because Indian Wells only has 2 show courts) but say no. Now there is a possibility that they may demolish the entire site because apparently people don’t realize they are allowed to use it and it’s loosing money now.

Miami Dade owns it. But to receive it from the Matheson Family, the stipulation was no additional stadiums.

Shame on the Key Biscayne community for letting this tournament leave halfway to Ft Lauderdale.

Nothing to do with the community and everything to do with the land deal between the Mathesons and Miami-Dade.
