I must say it is easily the fragrance that sparked my interest in learning about and collecting more fragrances. My wife loves Le Male Le Parfum so much she took my bottle and keeps it with her own fragrances.
Love this video ... thank you! I've always been into ... understated, classic, refined, elegance. My mother and oldest sister were very, very into French fragrances. To this day, Hermes' Caleche (eau de parfum - not eau de toilette ... huge difference between the two) still sends me. My mother wore it and as soon as I had earned some money, even as a student, I bought the smallest eau de parfum I could afford. It is still my all-time favorite even though it is not easily found in the US. Years ago, I worked with a German man who wore a cologne I am still searching for. If seduction had a smell, it would be his ... a just-stepped-out-of-the-shower clean, green/citrusy cologne, subtly but very masculine. Elegant. I have tested Dior's Eau Sauvage and it's not it. And more than a few others - French and Italian. Alas. Any suggestion as to what other names I should try?
Dior Eau de Sauvage and all its flankers are so great. They have are still as great today as decades ago and it's all class, good taste, and modest luxury. Definitely blind buy worth for the over 25.
I have recently discovered Reve d'Encens by van Cleef. What a beautiful scent, think that one could be added to your list as well. Thanks for the video
I'm looking that up right now. Thanks for watching. Okay, I looked it up and it's 100% my style of Fragrance. I liked it so much I even priced it. Thanks for that. You might see it on here one day :)
very good edit here. your'e onto something with the timing. I just got Intense Cedrat Boise. Feels like it belongs in this category....doesnt scream...radiates
Nice thumbnail of Grace Kelly. What an elegant woman, although apparently with a somewhat depraved side to her. I’m not sure about the male Prada scents, but Paradoxe is one I’m buying my wife for Christmas. To me, quiet luxury is anything from the Royall line.
No7, Eau Sauvage is the only one I own. It does indeed fill the "quite luxury" category as you define it. May I suggest a video list of 8 Best Animalic Oud Fragrances now that we're heading into Fall.
I did an oud Fragrance video 18 months ago so I'm probably due for another one. I do struggle to get views, however, on single note videos like oud, iris or Tobacco but I love oud & you're right, it's the perfect season for it, so maybe.
Jean paul gaultier le male le parfum! Never in my life I've smell such an outstanding fragance...my God!😮🤚
100%

Understated ELEGANCE!
Maybe I should have used that phrase instead, ha ha.
Great video Stuart! Phenomenal recommendations as always :)
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm thinking pour Monsieur by Chanel. A Citrus Aromatic from 1955 which is an all time classic. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Stewart!!! Missed your video yesterday (I mean a full video). Great to have you back!!!
Thank you. Nice to hear from you again!

Agreed! And yeah the word you used "taste" is perfect for eau sauvage.

I really appreciate feedback like this. It's invaluable. I have never heard a negative word about intense cedrat boisee. It's a modern classic.
Great video and great quote on the board! Cheers!!

Yeah, she was a beautiful lady. Props for noticing it was her. It's such a close up I hardly recognized her at first
Bvlgari pour homme is indeed quiet luxury. My favourite cologne. Do a part 2.
I'll definitely consider it although if I do it won't be right away. Thanks.
Another amazing list Stuart! You really need to try the original Pasha de Cartier (EDT) from 1992. That just oozes class & luxury!
Thanks very much. Yes, I love edition noire so I'm positive I'd like the original & the Parfum versions.
Great video! ! Quiet comment! Lol.
Lol!
Hermès is what I chose the other day in your poll. I just picked up Terre D'Hermes EDT, but I want to try more from their line.

Ha ha. That's an interesting idea.
👍👍
Thanks Rich!
Tom Ford Oud Wood if you have the money.
Lalique Alain Delon if you don't 😂
I looked this up & yeah, Alain Delon has his own house which is interesting
