- Arkansas State Police held a press conference on Sunday afternoon to give more updates regarding the fatal mass shooting at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce.

If you listened to the interview, the state trooper said too many people knew him for safety reasons. That's why they sent him to another jail. There's nothing to hide. Police were able to take perpetrator down without killing him. Kudos to them! This was an exemplary deescalation, protecting the victims, and not giving a lot of time or glory to the killer. No drama added to an already tragic day. May God help the loved ones of those injured and killed to be able to grieve and to comfort one another.

We are praying deeply for those who are hurting, healing, crying out for understanding for the loss of family members & friends, and ultimately for peace. You should know that there are thousands & thousands of loving people who are praying for you daily.
I do want to recognize & honor the amazingly professional manner in which the Arkansas State Police spokesperson managed today’s media update briefing. He is an outstanding representative for all of Arkansas, compassion, professionalism & integrity. Thank you for all of our LEO brothers & sisters!
All I heard was a bunch of hype for the police force. So how was he taking in alive now? I’ve heard/seen cops showing much less restraint for certain people of a different skin complexion not armed, yet ended up dead.

In areas of "legal" open carry, you'll see even more people carrying. Since open carriers are fewer in number than consealed you can bet there are plenty of armed people around if you see one open carrier. Many uneducated people frown on open carry. And there's many reasons why people don't open carry. Some say it's better to surprise the criminal with new places to breathe from. Others say it's because the police will see you as the suspect first. Or they'll instinctively go to violate your rights like the lemmings they are. They also say it's because the retar___ karen's will make false reports to the police and in turn the police will come and violate your rights just like previously stated. That's why consealed is preferred by the vast majority of carrying people. People who practice a God given right still "have to protect themselves from the bad people and the supposedly good people."

When asked was the shooter took to a certain location since there may be a conflict of interest due to the sheriff being involved in the shooting, The spokesman/officer said NO, the shooter was not sent to another location because of the Sheriff BUT WAS TAKEN THERE BECAUSE WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT OFFICERS INVOLVED AND THE SHRIFF, THERE NEEDED TO BE SOME OR A SEPARATION.
LASTLY....
Black folk get shot sitting in traffic stops in a park squad handcuff because of an acorn. Brown folk are left if squads abandoned on the train tracks while a train is coming. Finally a spoke person who sincerely and honestly addresses respective law enforcement agencies and their respective levels and training as well as their dedication to continue to uphold the law by serving and protecting.
Many of these officers served in the military.

Arkansas has much to be proud of. The ASP being one. You can count on every man or woman in an ASP uniform to be well spoken and of the highest regard. To know there were so many heroic acts that day by the police and public, speaks volumes for this community and its people. My heart breaks for the families but also the community, as this will, no doubt be felt in every home in that community. RIP to the victims. And may justice be served, as it should be.

Grocery stores are becoming alarmingly targets of deranged people and mass shooters. I work at Fry’s here in Arizona and it’s every day that we are confronted with people who are capable of violence. Just a few weeks ago someone walked in a Kroger store in Indiana and started shooting. Fortunately no one was hurt and the shooter was arrested. Tops supermarket a few years ago etc

What is considered Mass
This is why America needs to keep our constitutional rights to defend ourselves and others. One legally armed citizens could have lessened the victim count. Nothing will ever 100% stop violence, but often Law Enforcement are further away. The Fordyce Pd did an outstanding job, but we need to always be prepared to protect ourselves and others in cases like this.
This seemed like a poor area. 3200 population and a dollar store typically is indicative of lower income. They will less likely have personal weapons to defend themselves. Hopefully the people of this small town will come together and get themselves some Cc

It was just an ordinary shotgun, but a shotgun can be reloaded continuously as it’s being fired, and typically 00 buckshot has 9 projectiles pur shell, an ordinary duck hunting gun is just as deadly as an AR15. It’s the crazy criminal person, a person running a car into a crowd is just as deadly as a crazy person with a firearm.
