My whole beef with the videos, is the lack of coverage in videos of the field of competitors….there is literally eighty plus in the bike category’s and you show the same handful of the big competitors in any class…I’m sure the sponsors just love that…and I have no financial interest in that whatsoever…just a racer….you only show the big name teams footage…..others want to be seen as well.
@ it’s the leaders…let’s face it…that’s who gets covered…Kim’s, Hondas…..be real…I’m a racer…not of this caliber but I know a lot of the riders and never see any of them…I have the Dakar app so I can see how they are doing but video coverage is what I’m talking about
But you know we are not the official channel right? we have videos from a lot of people, and we try to cover a lot of them but ofc not possible to have all..
Boring af, Halfords service centres at ever stage, support teams, private Helis, and every electrical aid made on Earth to help them do it. Easy compared to the 70;80s, none of this lot could have done it back then, watered down for snowflakes.....out
Agreed , the amount of help on each stage is too much, Dakar has been taken by major brands. It should be more like the 24hr stage, You are on your own maybe stage 5 your team can come up and help or offer mechanic assistance to everyone. That should give a chance to those who don't have mayor teams to back them up
@DAKARRULES Yeah that was nonsense , the guy drove back with a twisted cage , one hand on the wheel the other covering his eyes because the windshield was gone , that was legendary, the 2mm bs was insulting.
RAPTOR!!

Or do you just know the big names? And when you see private pilots you don't recognize them and only remember famous ones?

And the rules that put Carlos Sainz and Loeb out is just stupid... If the car runs, let's go... 2mm of damage? come on...
