Literally have to keep pausing to add things to my goodreads list. Heather G is one of my favs. I just finished “this is how I lied” which was soooo good.
I love it, you're my source of upcoming titles to be on the lookout for 😀 Same went for last year (regarding this year's books). So I thank you for that
I'm intrigued by Sara Gran's new release, as well. I loved Come Closer, and I'm excited to see where this new one goes. I also have The Overnight Guest and Dead Silence on my radar.
Well, there are some intriguing books in there. I think there were only two that didn't catch me right away. But, I've added them all to my list (that I started with your scifi early 2022 releases) so I'll remember to keep an eye open for them. Thank you.
I got a chance to read Such a Pretty Smile. It's an entertaining and good allegory! The Haunting of Las LaGrimas sounds right up my alley, and yeah, it doesn't sound like your usual interest. 2022 is going to be a fun reading year!
Great video as always. I'm most excited for The Paradox Hotel and Dead Silence- (the premise reminds me of the Dead Space Video game franchise) I also added And Then I Woke Up and Reptile Memoirs to my TBR
I discovered your channel not too long ago and I’ve been bingeing your videos. You and I have similar taste and most of your recommendations click with me! Just wanted to say good job and thanks for increasing my tbr by a lot lol.
I loved loved loved Hex, so I hope Echo is just as good, I have been waiting for a new novel by Heuvelt. I wonder why we haven’t gotten a new Joe Hill novel in a while? I know Jones,Tremblay, Hendrix and Kingfisher all have new horror coming this year too that I wanna pick up. I also would like to see a new novel by J.W Ocker that’s adult horror, Twelve Nights at Rotter House is in my top 10 favorite all time.
I completely agree that we are long overdue for a new Joe Hill novel. I know he put out a few collections but I much prefer sinking into a good meaty novel. And yes I just reread 12 Nights at Rotter so I was thinking that he needs to write more adult horror
I really love the cover for A Black and Endless Sky--that's definitely a book I would buy solely based on the cover 😅 Reptile Memoirs sounds right up my alley. I love thrillers with awful characters, not gonna lie lol. Thank you for all these recommendations!!! I love hearing upcoming releases because I'm not immersed enough in the publication space that I would totally miss these otherwise!
Just read "Hex" by Thomas Olde Heuvelt and really enjoyed it. I've recommended "Echo" for my library to purchase. New subscriber, I really enjoy your videos- thanks!
Please help recommend me a book Rachel.. as the queen of horror I'm coming to you haha! I just got my new Audible credit and really want to find a book where the characters play with an ouija board and things get creepy! Or somw kind of possession story like that. If you have a few in mind I'd love to know!! Xx
I'm just going to say it: Tor Nightfire has been the most disappointing imprint launch in recent memory. This imprint really needed to *charge* out of the gate with chainsaws roaring, and given Tor's stature and resources, it should have. Instead, what we got included an extremely safe collection of reprints, a disappointing novella, and a heavily hyped horror "masterpiece" (TLHONS) that was so bad it was genuinely embarrassing. Compared to some of the striking work coming from indie imprints like Off Limits and Undertow, Nightfire really has some catching up to do if it wants to be the vanguard of horror in the 2020s. I'm trying to be optimistic. I'm a few chapters into Dead Silence, so... we will see...
Oooh hot take from Thomas! Yes you are one of the few people who shared my unpopular opinion of Needless Street. I had fun with the Blackened Teeth novella but admittedly it was a pretty safe, tropey horror. I'd love them to take more risks in the upcoming year
Literally have to keep pausing to add things to my goodreads list. Heather G is one of my favs. I just finished “this is how I lied” which was soooo good.
Happy to add to your tbr! Yes I want to read more by Heather G
That’s what I keep doing lol

I'm intrigued by Sara Gran's new release, as well. I loved Come Closer, and I'm excited to see where this new one goes. I also have The Overnight Guest and Dead Silence on my radar.

I'm reading the Overnight Guest right now and it's so good!!
Ooh I just finished it... it'll be in my Feb thriller wrap up video
Amazing Video like always! Dead Silence reminds me of The Ghost Line and Salvation Day
Yes that's what I'm hoping for!
I really love the cover for A Black and Endless Sky--that's definitely a book I would buy solely based on the cover 😅

All sounds like intriguing books…my TBR is out of control
Yayyyy
2022 sounds promising :)
Such a well-rounded book channel 📚😇
Why thank you
I love the cover of The Hunting of Las Lagrimas I need to check it out.
I know it looks gorgeous
nice slection of new horror books and i'm looking forward to one coming out soon STORM SHADOWS by Kenneth W. Cain.
I'll have to look that one up
"Echo" is awesome, I read it in German last year 😁
I'll be reviewing it this coming week!
Ugh all I need are more books!! But these sound so good!!
Hahaha sorry, not sorry 😅
Just read "Hex" by Thomas Olde Heuvelt and really enjoyed it. I've recommended "Echo" for my library to purchase. New subscriber, I really enjoy your videos- thanks!
I hope they order Echo (and put you first in line)! Thanks for subscribing!
Ohhhhhhh so excited
Lol I was in Amway and my parents were when I was a kid. The Just Like Mother book sounds amazing
Omg that's intense. I hope you connect with the book
I'm currently reading an advance copy of JUST LIKE MOTHER, and I'm finding it very enjoyable.
Awesome! I have no idea what to expect from it
So many good books! Looking forward to many of them!
Same!

I'd recommend the Exorcist on audio if you haven't read it yet. The author narrates it
Fantastic list. Modern gothic is the way to go!
I definitely want to get more into the subgenre
Read Reptile Memoirs by Ulstein last year and it was okay. Loved the theme better than the writing.
Oh that's disappointing!
@@TheShadesofOrange But looking forward to know what you think. =)
/drool hot Librarian channel, but with a Librarian who doesn't look at me crazy for wanting horror, sci-fantasy!
Oh gosh, I just can't keep up!! 🤣😂
