+David Salgado We use 100% glass lids with great success. Just make sure you are misting the tank everyday.

I have a question. I pretty much doing the same thing for my red eye tree frog vivarium that i m going to build. Do I really need a layer of sphagnum moss and then a layer of leaf litter or can I just skip the moss and add the leaf litter? i m new to the hobby. I could really use your help!

+nasir baker We recommend going with the full leaf litter and spagnum moss. They put organic nutrients into the soil to create a healthy, active substrate. That, and it protects the frogs from injesting small soil particles.

so do i use the live moss above the spag moss or just replace the spag moss with the live moss?

Are springtails and Isopods harmful to any reptile species, because I was going to implement them into my tree frog/ anole vivarium and don't want them to harm the reptiles and amphibians? I also have other high humidity based reptile enclosures that could use the micro organisms to help break down bacteria.
