- Khopra Danda trek (Khopra Ridge trek) is a great alternative to the more popular and more crowded Ghorepani trek, taking you higher still to another great viewpoint with a breathtaking views of Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri.
We start our trek from Ghorepani, descending down into the valley through a village called Swanta before climbing back up again to Khopra Danda (Ridge) which is located north of Poon Hill. A top the ridge you will find a single teahouse run by local village community. From Khopra Danda, it takes a day to reach Tatopani (Hot Spring) where you can catch a bus back to Pokhara.
Travel Itinerary:
Day 1: Ulleri to Ghorepani
Day 2: Ghorepani to Upper Chistibung
Day 3: Upper Chistibung to Khopra Danda
Day 4: Khopra Danda to Khayer Lake

3 of us had planned the same trip .. .last year End september ... unfortumately the weather drastically changed .. lost our way in the middle .. we started our trek from ghandruk ... and from tadapani we reached to deurali and then walked through the forest in heavy shower.. reached mulde .. stayed the night on deurali ... we still wanted to make it till khayer ... but then because of a misleading information we reached Pode danda instead ... it was a dreadful and dangerous trek under such weather ... ... i find myself lucky to have survived the day, coz we were out there in the middle of nowhere, climbing and crawling through the cliffs we made it till bayeli ... walked all the way to tatopani and then back to ktm !!! this video just gave me goosebumps ... i wish to be do the same trek again and enjoy the breathtaking scenic beauty of our country ...!!!
It is very important to go through travel itinerary and map your trek. The mountains have it's own weather system so always carry proper gears. All the best and glad you enjoyed the video!

I went to Khopra Danda in 2014, the paths have been improved since then. I didn't get up to the Lake, beaten back by bad weather, but still, fabulous views in the early morning.
which month had bad weather? is there any possiblilty of bad weather in April?

Absolutely nice trek. Thank you for your lovely video. I have done many treks in Nepal but did not get chance to do Khopra Danda Trek while I was in Nepal. I definitely will go this trek next time. It is nice trekking route.
