Hello Chris Johnson. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you most sincerely for posting all the movies on your UA-cam channel. I appreciate having access to them and that there's someone, YOU, taking the time and effort to share them with the rest of us to enjoy. I'm truly grateful. Again, thank you.

Shelley Winters tells a story in her second autobiography about how the little girl in this movie could not swim. The first time the girl tried jumping in the pool for the director, Shelley jumped in after her, ruining her hair, makeup, and beautiful Edith Head outfit. She had to plead with the director to let the little girl use a floaty ring. It was interesting to see how they cut around the little girl when she did not have the ring on and had to struggle.
Also, Shelley didn't want to do this movie, because she was excited about being in a play at the same time. But she loved Ray Walston, and had to fulfil her contract, so she did it to work with him. Doesn't it seem like they had a great time?

      She was smart in this...
And smart in life ..made her TV shows and movies
      Retired from acting .....
And got married that's why you can't find anymore on her
She had offers but turned them down....
Child actors and actresses don't always make good adult stars....
And movie makers use and abuse and throw on the scrapheap....

NOT QUITE!!! They usually take at least HALF, if not ALL of your money and stuff with them. The only HOPE that exist is having the fantasy of a hunter on the prowl and mistaking them for a wandering elephant and take them out! I am sure many only need to wear a large gray coat making it easier to mistake them for a wandering elephant.

I guess when living married with children was a normal thing and genders were defined. We all had a common ideology of right and wrong. We made things work because the world revolved less around self. Now that people have contempt for most everything. Especially against men, marriage, religion and having children. Is it any wonder why we are in a fallen state? What a mess.

Wasn't there a song recorded in the mid-60's entitled, "Wives and Lovers" (I don't recall the artist) with an opening lyric which went, "Hey, Little Girl, comb your hair, fix your makeup..."? I recall that the lyric depicted a suburban wife hurriedly trying to pretty-up for her husband before he arrived home from the city. Was that song inspired by this film?

The predator's role played by 'Gar' was extremely uncomfortable to watch as was Bill's obnoxious behaviour but all the roles were cleverly written.

28:28 After this argument they're about to have, he should just invite her to come along with him tonight as an observer to see what he is doing and how it all works.
Rules being, she is ONLY AN OBSERVER in the room and not allowed to talk or interject anything. She is also advised she can come to these meetings with me any evening she wants to with no advance notice necessary.
    Personal Story:
I was dating this hotty back in the day.
We were driving in the car when my phone rings and as usual I don't answer it.
She asked me why I never answer the phone when I am with her.
I told her because I thought it was rude to do so, she deserved all my attention, and whoever is calling can leave a message.
She then accused me of having other girlfriends and that's why I wasn't answering the phone around her.
I pulled the phone out and shoved it between her legs (in a nice way) and told her that she could answer the phone the next time it rang and she is now responsible for taking a complete and accurate message for me.
She was always on my case and accusing me of one imagined thing or another that I had to defend myself from.
I told her if this behavior continued, we would soon be no longer dating.
    It didn't stop.
We didn't date much longer before I politely showed her the door and told her she was free to see other people and so was I.
I told her if she still wanted to see me under those new terms it would be fine with me, but we were no longer considered to be exclusive.
She had reached her expiration date and there's always another one waiting in line to take her place.
I am in my sixties now and can still turn heads when I walk into a room.
Have rarely ever taken any sh!t from any woman.
    Single.
    No children.
All by choice and no with regrets about those choices.
    Life is good!

Good cast in middling sex comedy. Lee Patrick does a couple of serious eye rolls that are almost worth the rest though.

APART FROM A FEW.COLD BUDWEISER BEERS DURING PARTY'S OR FAMILY GET TOGETHER'S I DON'T DRINK HEAVY LIQUOR BUT WAS ALWAYS UNDER THE IMPRESSION A SHIRLEY TEMPLE DRINK WITH CHERRY'S WAS AN ADULT DRINK...UNLESS...THERE'S TWO DIFFERENT VARIETY'S I DIDN'T KNOW OF.
NOT THAT I WOULD EVER DRINK EITHER ONE LOL....

Shirley Temple (drink) was/is gingerale with cherry syrup. The cherry syrup is usually from a jar of cocktail cherries (marischino cherries). Don't know about this as an adult drink. Always thought that the idea of it was that a young person could feel grown-up, drinking something like a cocktail.

Van Johnson was always good in every movie 🍿 he made. It’s nice to watch movies that depict a somewhat normal American family. That was before the democrats started their war on America.
