This game is so bad it’s absurd! You’re risking $600 and you’re only winning $100 when you win a hand because you’re losing $200 from side bets! You’re going to have nothing majority of the time not to mention you will be folding the best hand sometimes when the dealer has 3 high! You also have to put in additional money with a shitty hand or forfeit your ante and blind! This has to be one of the worst games in the casino! And only 500 to 1 on a royal!?! I’ve been playing poker 18 years and have only ever had 2 royal flushes and I play 3-4 days a week! Those odds are so bad! Quads 10-1 straight 1-1!? Are you kidding!? You will never be ahead in this game!
By no means are you wrong…… with that said, I was on the list for 1/3. And at the time they had table games close by which was ultimate Texas hold em, because I was just watching while waiting for a seat the dealer was like why don’t play a few hands while you wait. Never played before but poker is poker. And I only had to pay 15 a hand. 4th hand in hot the royal! It was so dope. But this casino payed 1000-1 for the royal. Only played one other time while waiting for a seat. And that’s probably because they don’t have the tables right by poker anymore Side note. In Texas hold em I’ve only hit a royal twice and that was online. One day I hope it happens live
There is one other BIG downside you didn't mention - He is playing $100 or $200 on the ante spot. I am not sure about the casino he is playing at but where I play they aggregate limit to $30,000 payout per round. So he wouldn't even get the full 500:1.
A lot of casinos allow you to play 2 hands. If you don’t play the trips or the gimmick, and you play your play spot perfectly (odds card for pre and mathematically sound for play or fold) then it’s the best table game in the house (except for pass only craps). People get sucked into the trips especially but it’s less than 1 in 5 hands that pay and the majority off the hits are 3-1. The only time it hurts to miss the trips bet are flushes and to a lesser extent boats. Anything higher and you’re get paid big anyway. I’ve hit 3 royals since the game came out. You can go on runs of just winning against a non-sentient dealer hand that last forever. Play it right and it’s so much better
@@degendalt Playing ultimate pairs plus doesn't even pay much sadly. Not really worth playing imo. Love this game though. Hope you get better luck in the future!
@@degendaltplay quarters on the side bets. They bled you dry on the pairs bet. Blind and ante should always be 2-3x the trips bet. When you play bj you don’t put $100 on the hand and $100 on the bonus bet, right?!
Only if they don't hit lol I've seen my buddy run up $300 to $9k on blackjack with 90% of the money from side bets. That being said most of the time yea you're right. The side bets in this game are especially terrible odds and payouts
You can actually win a lot of money on side bets especially in blackjack. But it's always or never. You can't play them because you "feel " like they might hit.
Been playing tables for 15 years. The way their paying chips from a side stack and not the tray is major Fish Sticks. Makes me feel like its all for show.
It’s because the house can’t be the one to pay you, if they did it would mean they have interest in rigging the game against you. A third party has no way to influence the game if all they do is pay you out. technically anyone can “bank” the game but there are requirements since you have to cover all the table payouts. Back in the day people would bank the game with the other table members and take turns banking the game. But like dalt said there’s people who bank them, usually from companies dedicated to this sort of thing
Betting the same on the side bet as the ante in bonus hold em is a sure fire way to get demolished 😂 even when you when the hand if you bet past the turn you only win the amount of ante bet
Q7 is known as the computer hand in poker, its in the exact middle of handstrenght, AA is the best and 72 is the worst, Q7 is in the exact middle of all the possible combinations of hands. But if its suited it becomes a playable hand in this game.

This reminds me of a session I was watching with a friend, he was basically get his beat down in blackjack and ultimate holdem. The last hand he lost because of a kicker (same pair) and didn’t have chips to play the next. He could’ve easily got more money. This was AFTER playing for over an hour at the same table and same spot. This lady sat down who was rude and arrogant as f***, played about 3 hands before my friend ran out of chips. On the one of first hands she had, she had pocket Aces and refused to 4 bet it AND REFUSED to let anyone else 4 bet for her. “I never 4 bet”. Turns out she got a full house. The. About 3 hands later, right after my friends didn’t have chips in front of him, she ends up with the first hand instead of my friend and get a ******* straight flush…….. This is the prime example of why I think the universe is out to hate on decent people and reward the a**hats of the world. So basically she made about $2,000 off the straight flush and my friend and I got to watch it unfold before our very eyes. Btw my friend was down about $2,000 that night…
you know your friend wouldn't have gotten those cards. it sucks but its the gambler's fallacy that another player affects your outcome especially games like ultimate poker. it sucks to lose and have someone walk in and win a monster hand.
@@chicagodino No actually he would've. The way the cards are dealt out are 1st hand goes to the first player and the last hand goes to the dealer. The 5 community cards are the first VERY first cards that are dealt out IN FRONT. 1. 5 cards are dealt out in front (and revealed in order) 2. Next two cards go to the player in the most right hand position (which my friend was seated in but that 1 hand right after being beaten by a kicker, was not playing)
@@joshseely8350 you said she played 3 hands before your friends last hand. she changed the the way the cards came out because she was in the game for more than one hand. The only time a player "steals" a hand is if its the first deal out of the shuffler and no new players entered or left. Every player hold, shuffles and mucks their cards in a particular fashion that affects the next hand that is dealt with those cards.
