  • Conversations host Harry Kreisler welcomes Daniel Yergin for a discussion of his new book, "The Quest." Tracing his intellectual odyssey, Yergin reflects on the challenges of writing a comprehensive account of energy, and he highlights the importance of storytelling in crafting a powerful narrative. He then analyzes the role of creativity, technology, markets, and geopolitics in shaping the unfolding story of energy. The conversation moves on to three important questions: whether there will be enough energy to meet the world's demands, whether the security of the energy system will be insured, and what will be the future mix of energy sources. Series: "Conversations with History" [12/2011] [Public Affairs] [Science] [Show ID: 23053]

It's unbelievable that there's no mention of Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors. Molten salt reactors could help solve the problems being discussed. Originally built in the US and now being developed in China.
