  • In this series in going through the current F1 grid and giving you the history behind each team. This week we are looking at the current Alfa Romeo team, or previously know as Sauber.
    The Sauber team has a rich history in Formula 1 and sports car racing, so today we look through the team’s tenure in F1. The team was founded in 1970 by Peter Sauber, but the team would race in sport cars series until entering F1 in 1993.

    Alfa romeo raced 1950 and won 2 races?

      Yes, however I’m focussing on the team previously known as Sauber not the orignal Alfa!

      slidus no they won 2 championships in 1950 and 1951

      Alfa romeo won 12 races, got 14 poles and won championship with Fangio
