Berserk is my number one manga I highly recommend reading it, the manga is straight up art and some of the drawings are on such a high level of detail that I don’t think an anime version could properly display it
Na when it comes to Berserk nothing touches the manga not the animation adaptations and not the movies neither they don’t do it justice you have to read it any berserk fan would tell you that the highest quality of berserk is the manga it’s not like Naruto or other series where the anime is either the same or significantly better like demon slayer compared to its manga, berserk is a must read
Berserk is my personal favorite manga of all time but I only reccomend it to others who aren't too sensitive to the dark imagery

Berserk is absolutely number 1. Not the anime, which is still good, but the manga. Best mange ever written, and few tjat have read it would disagree
Agin and speed racer was fine for its time but the CGI in berserk was nasty, and I get it cause looking at the manga to hand draw even 3 chapters worth of content for the anime would take MONTHS
Honestly I say berserk is like one of the only animes where you gotta read the manga over the anime just cause the manga does more art wise and has more content. That's just my opinion though.

I’ve been wanting to get into berserk and I plan on reading the manga but I won’t be able to do that for awhile so I was gonna watch the anime but I don’t know which version I should watch

Don't listen to the haters... Personally, I like the CGI/anime and the way it was done. They made it "gritty" intentionally, because its a gritty story. The anime style suits & emphasizes the time period and the story.

Berserk manga is different, you should read the manga and watch the cgi anime after it and decided. The manga art was out of this world. I don't mind cgi anime either, but berserk cgi from 2017 adaptation is a big NO
