I've loved this band since I was ten and now Im 56 and there's never been another band that does a rock and roll show like KISS there In a class all there own and will never be out performed.
They opened for "Americas Got Talent" on 9-19-2018. Paul sang excellent. "Detroit Rock City" is what they sang. To bad Ace and Peter weren't still in the band, but they still sounded awesome.

+Dale Tranter Voice not as high as it was before but thats probably because he's been touring nonstop and he MORE than makes up for that...he still sounds good in MY book :)
+Dale Tranter Because Hide Your Heart has not much high notes. Check out Love Gun or Detroit Rock City ... he DOES sound terrible. He can't sing anymore, it's a fact!
Also because Paul got surgery back in 2012.

Been a KISS fan for over almost 40 years (I'm 42). I wish Paul would get his throat looked at...I know he is the age he is...Glenn Hughes doesn't have issues like this and he is the same age, done lots of drugs etc. This doesn't sound normal..it sounds painful...had some of my trained vocalist friends see this and they say he should get checked...before there is any more damage...unless it's too late...in his prime I put Paul as one of the greatest rock singers ever...
Everyone doesn't age the same way, genetics do matter. Moreover, the type of song one sings along with the technique also matters.
Paul even on 2006 had the same powerfull voice after that he came down with voice problems.

He has it right for the first run of the solo. But they extend the solo live for a second run that's an improv. Bruce did an improv for his solo, no reason for tommy to do same improv.

This performance is 40 fucking years since their first album. Where’s axle rose? Have you heard Sebastian Back or Vince Neil lately? Jesus Christ people, it’s as if 90% of you have never seen a concert. Kiss have always been performers. They never stand still, play every song note for note. They’ve always been a bit loose on stage. So wear the gear, spit fire & blood, dance around, play guitar, bass, drums & sing at the same time. Do it as well at 30 as these guys do in their 60s. Then come talk. Until then stfu.

I agree that this is a great song, one of my faves, but they really sucked playing this one live. It seems as if the band could not settle into a constant groove. Maybe they were having problem hearing each other?

they would give him a rest if he wasnt such a snobby douchebag. He has said numerous times on video that Ace deserves no respect, because he wasn't in the band nearly as long, and has recorded the same amount of music or less. But no one could name a single Tommy hit.
