I am so glad i could find this today. I was looking for a song to dedicate to my dad on his fifth memorial. This was one of his favorites when we were little girls. He would play it on his 'changer' i even learned to dance to this record. Forever cherished memories.
I remember the first time I listened to this particular record in 1967 when I was in Primary Class VI. I went to visit my class teacher, and he played the record on a Phillips Record Player using dry cell batteries. On the UA-cam, I have played this record so many times. Rest on, Baba Ogunde, the theatre and music veteran !
I am not even Yoruba but Cuban, but just the fact that I understand some single words based on the bits of Yoruba that I know through my religion and interest is so interesting. I am so thankful for this channel and these videos. Mo dúpẹ́, Adérónkẹ́!

These are musics that makes one cries. Especially when you remembered how beautiful and peaceful the world was back then.
