Great vid...just be careful when installing aftermarket speakers to factory equipment ( factory amp ).. it can wear them out fast...when I originally did mine in my 2017 Charger I used Infinity reference series at around a 3ohm load. Since then I have also changed everything out to all kicker 4 ohm with subs and KENWOOD series amps ( totally bypassing the factory amp )Def recommend changing the sound system if you enjoy music...and on a side note creating a center channel is simple and worth the sound..
I got some speaker wire and jumped from the front dash speaker to the 3 way 6x9 it doesn’t play much bass but you get the highs . I’ll take it to a audio shop to get everything done right but in the mean time it’s way louder plus I have subwoofers so the bass is there but the kick is drowned out
But what was the original size for the front doors and the rear deck and did you have to ad an amplifier just curious because from what I understand the 300 and charger are practically the same inside
bro just so u knw the wires for that adapter can still be wrong the positives and negatives will still play the speaker even when there backwards. it's very hard to tell just listening to the speaker unless u been doing installs for a min. what u should do just to be sure rin down and grab a tester bro. u plug the connector and turn the radio on then take the tester plug it into the lil whole and make sure u have the positives and negatives running to the speaker right. it's bad for the speaker when there running backwards. just some advice bro.. but real shit it looks good though u did good job...💯💯💯💯
For some reason when I got my 2016 charger rt my two front door speakers were just playing bass so I tied them into the tweeters in the front the play vocals but is that how high it plays bot what’s the deal please help me
Thats how dodge system is wired up. Front door speakers only set up to play bass. To get vocal out of them have to get a digital crossover or rewire to a multichannel Amp.
It’s designed that way guys. It’s easy to turn the whole door into a sub box itself, which is part of why that plastic cover between the door panel and door frame is so well sealed. They’re allowing for some loss of air through the window channel and other fittings, but if you were to remove that cover or not put it back and try to seal it up like the factory did, you’ll lose a lot of bass from that door speaker. Also, we don’t listen to music with our head on the floorboard, so no highs needed down there. Neither do we listen to music with our head on the dashboard, but you do listen to music with your head pointed at the speakers, and usually about head height, and the windshield is taken into account because of its reflectivity. If that glass wasn’t there the sound would be GONE. They gotta put bass somewhere in a car where they know people who buy it will be looking for a nice sound system. They gotta put kids and highs somewhere too. It’s hard to put a good sub in the dash, even though my Suburban has one there, factory, but that’s a Suburban. The dash speakers should only be playing sound down to about maybe 150-200hz, and I think they ducked up there, cause my dash speakers are shredded, and I tested them with a sine wave tone generator, there’s an app for that, and they played back sounds way to low in frequency for those little drivers. I’ve got the Boston Acoustic, and I know that’s a great company, but I never took it seriously. The factory RT BA sound system is really nice for a factory system. But now I need to replace my dash speakers, and I’m sick of turning it up to 33 and that’s all they got. I want more. After 15 years it’s about time. But I’m watching the wrong video.
Question..did you keep your factory amp or did you add an 6 line converter? I have two shops who are trying to tell me i need a 6 line converter like a lc7i and adding another alpine amp I took out of another car. I have a 2019 charger sxt plus with the crap alpine system. I have already added a sub in the back with an amp driving it. Thanks.
Nope. Still running stock amp. If I add subs I'll buy 2 new amps. 1 for the subs and the other for the mids and highs. But sounds way better with just the speaker swap and stock amp.
You won't get full potential from door speakers since the factory amp only produces bass to them. I'm pretty sure the am is 2 ohm also. I would say yeah get an loc. I just bought a 2020 scatpack with the alpine system, it so so. I had a 300s with beats that sounded way better especially after changing out the dash 3.5's to kicker. I bought an audio control lc 6.1200 that I'm getting ready to throw in the scat. If I was you I would get the lc7i that way you can adjust the frequencies to the speakers and get your highs back to the doors and cut the bass to the 3.5's
@@KingFLA did rear on challenger since i did rear seat delete but I hear the shitty basic front speakers if the cheap of the cheap is 8 ohms amd if you go with 4 front May overheat or just play louder in front you had the cheap shit it alpine middle one
Oh 😯 thanks I’m working on amplifying mine. I’m subbing thanks! Follow me on ig @345caffeine I’m always doing some repair on my mopar I’ll follow back!
Hey Fla Hemi, I want to do the door 6x9's, too. Doesn't the factory amp send nothing but bass signals to the doors? How do your tweeters sound on the 6x9's?
@@CY-1627 yea. The front door speakers are mostly for bass. Need to get a crossover installed to get full potential out of these replacement speakers. But the upgraded 3.5 dash speakers and rear do a good job. I'm completely satisfied with the upgrade. I ride 120 mph with all the windows down. And still hear the music and vocals Crystal clear. 👍🏽
Dope video bro. I was about to pay $275 to have this same setup installed, but imma do it myself after watching this.

What size speakers did you put in the rear doors?
Changing the speaker with a damn blunt in your hand lol
Pretty sure it was a black mane 🤣
Def was a black and mild😭😭
With this install did you have to add an additional amp or are you using the stock
So u basically cut the harness adapters off n connected directly with connecter from wire to wire?

What’s size speakers u put in a dash?
Wait so the driver door speaker and passenger speaker now have vocals? With those adapters from amazon?
What is the song playing in the intro I cant figure out what it is?
Getting mine done this week did u have any problems with the speakers not fitting at all or anything or did they all fit flush??

One of the best mods bro..... i went jbl.... the alpine speakers are crap...straight paper SMH.... 30,000+ lol.....GOOD SHIT
MD_ Promotions what jbl audio you have?
Thanks brotha!! Shit looks pretty simple, gonna get mines done soon, them factory alpines straight trash!
Yes they are. Have new car and new setup on the way. Video will be up nxt week after I get speakers and install them.
My front door speakers only play bass notes. How can I make them play like regular 6x9s
Have to get a digital crossover installed.
