She's still around, currently stored at Thirlmere (same folks that have 3801 and 6029) but is owned by the Powerhouse Museum, she was meant to return to service back in the second half of 2016 but the restoration work was halted after more extensive damage to the firebox was discovered with repairs being deemed impractical and insufficient. She needs a lot of repair work before a possible return to service at this stage, but I believe you can still go see her down at the museum
excellent video mate, hopefully one day 3830 might come back in steam, would be nice to see it again, are those rail cars still at Valley Heights, or where are they now?
Great filming; even more so for 1999.
Beautiful old locomotive would love to see 3830 on the tracks one day
great shot in the rain 👍👍
2:47 workers seem to see a steam loco for the first time in their lives :))
Don't know what ever happened to 30 I worked trains with 30 at Enfield a good loco.

I fairly sure they are still there.
Well you better get your overalls on a volunteer twice a month on weekends.
Now if they just moved the headlight up above the smoke box door it would be decent looking loco.
Is this a re-upload because I remember seeing the same footage ages ago?
nice mate
