A classic Christie with a country manor, family resentment, and secrets behind locked doors. Radio play - Розваги
I also listen while I'm cooking, with a glass of red wine. Great way 2 unwind. Thank u so much. 😊
Oh that sounds fantastic!
I love Peter Sallis, but not sure he’s in his element as Poirot. I guess we’ve all been spoilt by David Suchet.
I agree that he's not exactly Poirot. The real problem, though, is that he doesn't sound French (Belgian).
Peter ustinov was a more convincing poirot.
My same thought, is he Poirot, if so, he forgot his Belgian accent. 😮
I'm listening to this story again, on Christmas Eve ❤ thanks for posting!
I listen while I cook….thank you so much for posting…..😊
Same here, theyre always just the right length for the recipe i find
I really enjoyed this. Well worth listening to imo.
Thank you.
I always ♥️ Hercule Peirot, one of Agatha Christy's finest creations.
I listen while I walk! Wonderful!?
A little past mn after Christmas day in Adelaide in Oz. A really fun play with lots of characters creating much activity. Love the classic who dunnit ending. 💜
Miss the old Poirot.
Nice twist.
We have been Spoilt, with John Moffat, playing the radio Poirot.
😢
This ain't he!
Good enough, I am sure!

It's a bad joke, unless it's Dave Suchet.
Peter Sallis ?!? Why..??!?! The least convincing Belgian I've ever heard. Yes, I'm sure he was a lovely bloke but Poirot....!!?
I agree. It's like using a Golden Retriever for The Hound of The Baskerville's.
He played Cleggy in Last of the Summer Wine 😊
❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing this with us. It was quite entertaining. 😊
I have always thought that the original story was one of the most aggravating and unfair mysteries that Christie ever wrote. I'm glad to see that this has not changed in this dramatization.
What do you mean exactly Roderick?
@@etiennepilorget8777 I can't really explain without extensive spoilers, except to say that I don't think Christie really plays fair with the clues.
@@roderickfemm8799 You can go on, don't worry. I have already listened to the play. I am interested in your point of view.
Too many questions for the female passenger. Leave her alone..
Sellers is possibly the worst Poirot I've ever heard.
Peter Sallis, not Peter Sellars 😊

I wouldn’t really call this a Christmas special, the plot could’ve been set anytime.
I think you’ve missed the point of the plot
Who was the woman playing the granddaughter? She was awful…
Peter Sallis is terrible as Poirot! He does not even come close to a voice personification as Poirot, as played by David Suchet, or even John Moffat; Peter Sallis was awesome in Last of the summer wine, but listening to him here as Poirot was excruciatingly stressful. No! NO! NO!
