I believe you summarized Jed's strategy to building a club pretty well by putting a mediocre team together and hope they overachieve and that your opponents underachieve. Then there are Jed's backers who are fans with low expectations that are content with .500 baseball while fans that watch this mess everyday expect more from a big market team. Also not expecting much improvement during the off season because how the roster is built right now unless Jed makes a bunch of trades but that is not how he does things so we can probably expect more mediocre baseball next year.

Would love to see the expectations be 90+ wins a year, difficult to do that without a real star player
